I've realized (belatedly, no doubt) that this is a transition time for my relationship with House fandom. It'll be interesting to see what comes up next.

This is the first fandom I've ever been part of. I think a certain amount of ebb and flow among the members is a natural thing. Some people get off the merry-go-round and others jump on. Even in the year and a half of HHoW I can look through the members list and see people I miss who have left. But there are also new people who have joined who I really like.

As long as I watch the show, I'll stay. And as long as Hugh Laurie is on it, I'll watch. But I've always limited myself to the show, fanfics (by select writers) and one site for talking about it. I hear about the extremists in various ships second-hand only. And I plan to keep it that way.

Ebb and flow is natural, of course. Just takes me longer than some (most?) to catch on/catch up. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season -- woot! ♥
