A Small WTF I Forgot to Say About House 8X21

It has nothing to do with the plot but I literally said out loud "What?" when Wilson walked out of House's apartment and then down the hall to leave. Where was he going? The building's front door is right there by House's apartment door. Walk out House's door, turn right, and BAM there's the building door.

Remember the Season Two ep where Wilson slept on the stoop until House came out and got him? You could see the inside of House's apartment from the stoop. That's the one I remember most vividly, but I'm 99% sure it was also established definitively in other episodes -- such as the "Alvie comes back" one.

SO WHERE WAS WILSON GOING, WALKING DOWN THE HALL?

Now that makes sense. Although whether the pot dealer happens to be House's neighbor, or whether House somehow convinced a pot dealer to move into his building, that might still be an open question.

By the way, do you have acess to INhouse iPhone app? I was reading the script of this episode and they cut a part of the beginning of the episode. Wilson discover that his diabetic cat developed insulin resistance and decides to kill it. Only them he goes to House apartament.. Very interesting.

They cut the "killing Sarah" scene to stick in a "cheerleader with a nosebleed" scene? One that was described later in the script? WEIRD.

Maybe they thought they'd get in trouble with the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Or maybe the actor-cat who plays Sarah wasn't available.

Or maybe they didn't want us to cry yet again! ;_;

They left out the part where Wilson muttered, "Oh, fuck," and turned around and left the right way. House said, "Get in here, you moron." And they proceeded to have mad hot monkey sex for the rest of the morning. That's why House was so upset when he got to PPTH; if Wilson died, House wasn't going to get laid that good, again, EVER.

These guys don't have a show bible, remember? So they clearly don't give a crap about continuity. Remember the elevator wall between Wilson and House's office at the beginning of this season? (was that really only this season? Seems life a lifetime ago....) Why let continuity get in the way of storytelling? I'm guessing it just looked better to have Wilson leave the way he did, even if it made no sense.

There is a hallway or something down that way. I recall with Cameron and the Volger arc she knocked on a door that is now missing from House's apartment, but I think it led to a hallway, or perhaps even outside. But it was down that way, away from the front door.

I have no better theories than all the splendid ones you have already. Just to say I watched this ep last night and had exactly the same reaction as you. I was sitting there going to my other half, 'Hang on! Where's he going? Look, the front door's right there behind him!'
