Here is a post in which I criticize the public statements of certain actors.

Lisa Edelstein has complained about fans harassing boyfriends of hers, because the fans want her to be with Hugh Laurie instead. That is a more than fair complaint, and any fans doing that need a life, and probably psychiatric attention.

With that said, she needs to stop egging people on by talking about how do-able she finds Hugh Laurie. The latest is an Ausiello interview in which she "jokes" about showing Hugh herself naked and asking which parts she needs to tone up in case they have a sex scene together (even though, as she says, the parts won't be seen on TV).

Such talk makes you sound like a person of loose morals, dear.

Lest you think I only scorn women for acting like horndogs, Robert Sean Leonard similarly grossed me out during an old interview, in which he said he enjoyed rehearsing for The Music Man with the chorus because the teenaged girls were hot. Ew, dude. Some thoughts should stay in your head.

I usually find her slightly air-headed in interviews, and the way she's gushed about Hugh's sex appeal and Cuddy and House's sexual chemistry, anticipating sex scenes and whatnot, has always irked me. I feel like she's not doing her job as an actor, if that's what she continually focuses on, something so superficial. Granted, as some others have said, this is publicity, but I think this comment crosses a professional line. I know it's not quite the same, but in my own field, I know an actor or a director would never start talking about things like this that can be potentially embarrassing for another actor for publicity purposes. If those kinds of talks happen in rehearsals, they stay in rehearsals. I don't know...A comment like that just seems unprofessional to me. It's unprofessional that Ausellio would ask half of the questions he does, even if fans are obsessed with sex on this show (and, sure, I'm not expecting people to ask about extremely deep aspects of upcoming character developments, but all they can ask about is sex and who's hooking up most of the time).

But House was right I guess, way back in S2. It's always about sex.
