House: "My grandson got me a mug that says that."

Where did that come from? I'm assuming it's a joke, but I don't get it. "My love child got me a mug..." or "My bastard kid got me a mug..." would make sense, but "My grandson..." I don't get.

The episode overall: Loved it. Yes, Amber's death was idealized but eh, a lot on this show is. RSL was wonderful this ep, as was Anne Dudek and HL (but of course).

Now just waiting for [livejournal.com profile] stephbass to tell me about the cool and/or annoying director things. : )

I think it was just a throwaway line. But I have no doubt that a few fandom crazies are going to derive a deeper meaning from that line.
