Yay, Obama!

Yay, marriage equality!

MJ legalization, where did you come from? Surprised by that... but "treat it like alcohol" has always seemed the most logical thing to me, and apparently Colorado & Washington feel the same.

Happy Thank-the-Heavens-the-Political-Ads-Are-Over Day, everyone!!!

Amen sister!

I believe I might have actually had to shut the TV off and pick up a book if the ads had continued! :)

Yes, the MJ thing is bizarre as it is still against federal law, which trumps state law, or at least in this case I believe it does. It will certainly be interesting to see how this unfolds.

I figure the best we can hope for will be a challenge to the federal law, with a possible change to allow states to decide the status of marijuana on their own terms.

Personally, I've never used it and have no interest in it, but I feel it's ridiculous that we spend our money and manpower prosecuting nonviolent pot users. We have better things to do with those resources.

Yay, and yay, and yay! I was surprised to see the MJ legalization too but think it's great, as I fully agree it should be treated the same as alcohol. I expect Canadians are happy too, as pot is British Columbia's biggest export ;)

I don't know what Colorado called their proposal, but it should have been the Leave Willie Nelson Alone Bill.

Can't wait for next year's golf weekend at Semiahmoo - if I toke up before I tee off, I won't care that water is in play on almost every hole!
