Has anyone seen this movie (from 1998)? RSL with a gun makes me laugh, laugh, laugh.

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] daasgrrl has a very entertaining review of it here! (Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] nightdog_barks

*giggle* What a strange business acting must be -- you never know what you'll be asked to do next.

"Be deadly, Robert! Deadly!"
"But... which way do I hold this thing?"

"Be deadly!" Hee, hee, hee.

Read [livejournal.com profile] daasgrrl's review - she says he holds the gun like he's a dancer.

No problem. Don't they say that more you wait for something, the better is it, or whatever...

Yes! And I actually like anticipating things :D

Except, like, not-fun things - like deadlines and dentist appointments.

But I like posting things you want to see or hear. It makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

In fact, you prompted this post, because you said, "Amazon," and I toddled over to see what other RSL audiobooks they had (Crichton, yuck) and found this.

Hugs!

If anyone would know, it'd be you. : ) Nightdog reminded me you'd reviewed this, which reminded me you reviewed almost all of his oeuvre. He does much better as the sensitive piner, doesn't he?

*cue rant*

I was just musing on that interview where Ethan thingy said RSL was one of the best actors of his generation or something (I'm paraphrasing). Just... no. He is incredibly good at the "sensitive pining" *g*, and indeed I'd back him against any other actor in those stakes. And he can be really funny as well. But IMO he doesn't have the versatility that, oh, say, Hugh has, which is surely necessary for being all that and a bag of chips. I love RSL, but... obviously not as much as Ethan XD

Ethan is kind of a dickwad, I think. It was amusing at one point, because Ethan said that RSL should be playing the lead in Scorsese movies, and I got Scorsese confused with Tarantino.

CAN YOU SEE RSL IN A TARANTINO MOVIE? LOLOLOL

YES, ACTUALLY, I CAN. BUT HE'S PLAYING THE UMA THURMAN PARTS. WHICH WON'T MAKE ETHAN HAPPY.

No, that's A Glimpse of Hell (IDK whether he's gay in that or not). In this one he plays an FBI agent who apparently sings and tells everyone his dreams.

Check out [livejournal.com profile] daasgrrl's review! I added a link in the post.

Thus prompting the question, in a face-off between RSL and Season One Rodney McKay (yes, actor/character deliberate), who'd actually manage to shoot the other one? I see dropped cartridges and wincing while aiming blindly...

LOLOL And when they finally lost the guns altogether and started talking instead, they'd hate each other, don't you think? They'd be completely disinterested in what the other wanted to talk about.

I keep staring at that poster, and all I can see is Neil from DPS pointing a gun at me. I am not scared XD

I'd like to see this film, even though it sounds exceedingly bad, because hey, it's got RSL in it, but Amazon doesn't have it (UK or US) and nor does Ebay. *sulk*

Yes he was, but only on himself... D:

He should've shot his daddy instead. Although I suppose he'd have been in prison then. Mind you, he could start up a drama group and... Go away, bad plot bunny!

I just watched this a few months ago, actually, and it was meandering and a bit slow. It had its moments, but generally just never got off the ground. The script could have done with a firm editorial hand...
