In very small type, because asking for presents is tacky:

Anybody want to give me a present?  I never did word-counts for my fics, and now I really want to know.  All you have to do is copy each story, without the header, into Word and check under File, Properties, Statistics.  Simple and quick, except I have way too many fics now as shown on this handy list.  (God, I'm awful.)

Those two are pretty much diametrically opposed, aren't they? Thanks!!!

How's the sushi fic coming? Will you get it done before The Sprog makes an appearance?

What is this, I prod you, you prod me back? *grins*

The sushi fic is...well, coming along. Except now I've got an idea for another ficlet in the Aftershocks verse, so...we'll see what happens. :)

Hmm, I think I messed up my HTML there. Will fix.

Thank you so much! For this, and for your recent fic organizing advice. When I get a minute (ha!), I'm soon going to re-arrange my list by category to make it easier for everyone.

You're welcome. For some reason, I love organizing stuff. Anyone who looked at my work office would think I was lying about that, but I like having things to read right under my fingertips.

YOU ARE SO EXCEPTIONALLY AWESOME! You even took out the section markers; an analyst after my own heart. Thank you times seventy-one thousand five hundred nineteen (which is how many words you counted here!).

Actually, this is the type of thing I can do in my sleep.

Wanna swap? You can set up the PowerPoint presentation I'm avoiding which I have to finish this weekend. It's going to be nothing but a whole bunch of charts with numbers (but I won't have the numbers until 2 days before the meeting we're presenting at so everything has to be ready to drop them in at the last second.)

Sure, I'd swap; I do PPTs all the time. I worked with someone the other day who was revising a PowerPoint - he's very creative with graphics etc. and it all looked great, but he had never heard of the Align functionality. 'Za? I asked him what he did, and he said he lined up everything by hand. Unreal.

Ooooh, ooooh. Tell me. I need to animate this thing so each column of numbers has to be in it's own text box and then aligned. There's a function for that?

Holy moley. With the numbers that everyone has given me, I've written 197,957 words. When I add in One Lump or Two and a few fics that I wrote after last updating the list, that's over 200,000 words in the last year. No wonder I'm tired.

Thanks so much!!!!

More than that -- some of the drabbles and a few of the stories had word counts already.

Oops. I Hated Being Thirteen is 330 words (1,377 characters). I'm using the list to catch up on all your fics that I missed -- although I'm finding that I did read about half of those before I started keeping a list.
