I fell head-over-heels for House, MD, and the House/Wilson fandom in late June of this year. Posted my first fic on July 5.

By December 31, I had posted 35 fics (including a couple ficlets/drabbles, and one novella-length piece) and 13 MSTs.

you only started writing this june?

other fandoms before?
i am glad you posted the list, i dont' think i read some of them before.

some that i still remember, having read them a while back: Shiksa, Arureos, Pillory (that one was weird, but very good).
I only started reading in October, so i should catch up with your earlier fics.

I did some original creative writing way back when, but this is the first fandom I've written in. And yep, didn't start writing fanfic until late June.

The most popular fics from before October were My Fathers' Son, which is a long, somewhat sad story in which House & Wilson raise a child together, and The Registry, which is a short dialogue-only story in which House & Wilson register for gifts at Bed, Bath & Beyond. They're not related to each other!

Thanks!

oh yes, I read the My Fathers' Son --- it is probably one of the best stories in the whole fandom but i prefer happier endings.
( i almost had a heart attack after watching Legends of the Fall and came close to dropping out of graduate school after watching Shadow Lands) The story started out so very nice and then House leaves! That was heartbreaking. I read the rest of it through my fingers. (am i thinking of the right story? your link to the My Fathers' Son is not working, it is to a wrong story.)

what do you do in real life?

I fixed the link - thanks for letting me know. Yes, you're thinking of the right story...and it is pretty sad. That was first angsty story.

Maybe a slower pace for me to satisfy RL demands, but I can't imagine life without H/W any more... Thanks!

Your stories have been some of the most hilarious I've ever read -- so deviously clever and cute. Yes, cute ;-) But I recall crying for days after reading My Fathers' Son which made work kinda tricky.

I see I missed a whole bunch of fics since November when I left the fandom for a brief stint in Real Life (it wasn't worth it and is not recommended). I look forward to catching up!

Hi, purrla! I saw your post about changing the name - and I'd recognize you anywhere by your Nancy-Drew-ness.

I don't mind cute; cute is fun. And sometimes, as in these angst-ridden canon times, cute is just sorely needed.

Sometimes a break is needed, but I confess I missed you in November. You are one of the best commenters in the fandom - always something interesting to say. Welcome back!

layne, thanks so much! One of these days I'll write a Matt/Ben, I swear. As soon as I use up all my H/W ideas...

Hey, I remember reading a lot of these...having the memories retreived from the recesses of my mind...A lot of these I remember from when I first joined the House communities in late September...wow...that's interesting, but you only started in JUNE? Wow...I wish I could find time to write even half as often as that...but no...I'm stuck on weekends and the rare day when I have no homework...

I'm sure you could do it too if you just ignored homework and school! Just kidding; of course, I don't recommend that. I just wrote fast, gave up other hobbies, and learned to live on less sleep - not that that was healthy for me, either. : (

Well, other than the fact that my parents and teachers would be asking me what planet I came from and what I did with the original me, that really wouldn't be a good idea...I have enough scheduling problems at the moment, I don't need the prospect of re-taking classes burdening me...(high school is a bummer)

I have no hobbies, and I live on a little amount of sleep as it is...and I already write fast...but I suffer from chronic bouts of writers block...it is painful to have so many ideas but no way to word them...(as it is with my WIP in which I am writing...)

Great list. FYI: The link to To See the Wizard, NC-17, CAPSLOCK is not working. It says I don't have permission. I expecially curious because I don't think I have read it and the possiblity of smut. :0)

I changed the link BUT please be advised that "To See the Wizard" is disgusting. A friend challenged me to write a fic in which Wilson has a fetish for, um, a particular bodily function. There is a handjob but it's in the context of Wilson's fetish. (I also happen to think the fic's funny but...)

Now I'm all intrigued and a bit freaked, but I still can't open the link. I am a bit concerned that my first thought was "people who like to be peed on" (take a wiz). I'm not a member of CAPSLOCK. Could that be the problem?

Don't think it's friends-locked, you should be able to get in. Try again and if you don't, you can email me and I'll email it to you (my address is my LJ name at yahoo).

The bodily function is grosser than that.
