A lot going on at work, plus I took on this intensive volunteer role in a public speaking organization that is taking up beaucoup time, plus, ya know, Mr. L and the two little Laundries and the WORLD'S LOUDEST CAT WHO SPENDS HIS NIGHTS MEOWING IN ALL CAPS.

On the plus side I learned that cloud-cuckoo-land is a real word, and just this moment while looking up a reference, that it is a translation of the even more awesome word nephelokokkygia.

So there's that.

[personal profile] bironic needs to post her "what will happen at the end of House" vignette.

Hi, Dee! I'm starting to wish they made sleeping pills for cats myself, what with Zippy the Wonder Cat getting into stuff at night after we've gone to bed. Cats: Can't live with 'em, too chewy when grilled. :D

I can't believe you can do this all. Thanks for the all caps, or I'd end up being envious of your having a cat.

He is SO loud at nights, yikes. We lived through the fractured sleep with two infants and now we have it all over again... Ah well.

You keep impressing me. If crying-in-the-night-twin had been the first born he would have remained an only child.

I, too, am trying to figure out who I am, because I have started looking for a job after my sabbatical and I have no idea what I want to do. All I know is that I want to work with cool people and I don't want to have to hear pantyhose and high heels to work.

I want House to leave Princeton-Plainsboro at the end of the show. I don't care where he ends up; I just want the other people who work at the hospital to finally get some peace, and to be able to tell their crazy House stories in the past tense.

Job hunting is the worst! Can you narrow down your scope at all? Also, the word "networking" always makes me shudder, but seriously, with the economy the way it is, people who already know you're awesome will be your best source of job leads.

I would want to work with you!

What? What what? House is not the only entity that matters in the universe? You are so subversive, you.

: )

It's from The Birds by Aristophanes! So good!

I'm not sure how I want House to end. I do know that I'd like for it not to be a dramatic ending. If David Shore decides to kill him off (and I wouldn't put it past DS to do such a thing), I will be so pissed. I like the idea of the show ending w/ House and Wilson strolling down the halls of PPTH whilst teasing each other.

I don't know how you find the time to do so much. Get some rest. Don't strangle the cat! ;)

I should've realized you'd know that word!

It'd be very plausible for them to end the show with a sense that the 'verse isn't ending - days at PPTH will continue on. Showing House and Wilson walking together would accomplish that nicely.

It is also a trope (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Cloudcuckooland). And it is an awesome word, no matter which language. :-)
