On last night's House, why didn't that orthopedist leave his vomited-in trash can in House's office? I would have, ETA after dumping the contents onto House's carpet. Dude took the can away with him. Moron.

The plight of the American worker, House cares not about it.

I guess of the lessons learned by House in prison, Violence Is Not the Answer wasn't one.

Adams should have worn safety goggles too.

Wilson was woefully under-used but immensely shaggable. Natch.

Anyone interested in a teeny fluffy Halloween ficlet, even though it's now November?

Agree on all counts. I think House is behaving abominably, although I do like that he 1) returned Wilson's money and 2) gave Adams an opportunity to vent. And if you're going to write such a ficlet, of course I vote yes!

Yeah, House is being really awful, even by House standards. It's as if being in prison made him worse in most ways. I'd like it if he were to return to his early-season levels of assholery instead.

I was happy that he gave Wilson's money back even though Wilson hadn't caught the theft yet. I'm sure the thing with Adams was probably more for House's enjoyment than for Adams' sake, but it also felt like vicarious venting on his part, to me. Like he's being so horrible because he's still angry about a lot of things, and he got some satisfaction for himself that way, too.

I agree that the thing with Adams was for House's enjoyment, and for vicarious venting. (It was as a treat for Adams, too -- she did give him cash to fund his stock speculation.) I also think it was bonding. Now House, Park, and Adams have all three used violence of one type or another to deal with unsatisfactory personal relationships. house wants to know the drive, the id, is in there.

I like that he returned Wilson's money ... although he didn't tell Wilson he was taking it, and he didn't give Wilson any return on investment, so ... he was typical House. : )

If we don't get any canon lovin' between House and Wilson, the next best explanation for their relationship is that House is Wilson's teenaged son. Maybe nineteen or so. Enough to be able to be independent most days but with still some intense need for guidance, attention, and love. (And money.)

Glad you brought up the safety goggles. It was 4th wall breaking for me. Why wouldn't Adams' eyes be protected unless tptb thought her face was too pretty to cover up during the CG effects?

Not happy about the POTW (punch of the week) either, but prison is known to foster violent behavior. I chose to believe House's aborted punch was a non-move in the right direction.

And yes, a ficlet please. Halloween isn't over until the candy bowl is empty.

I probably wouldn't have thought about the safety goggles if the direction hadn't so clearly emphasized House putting them on. Eh.

Actually finished the ficlet! For once!

Always interested in ficlets!
The plight of the American worker, House cares not about it.
Didn't surprise me. I took him at face value when he said the jobs aren't being lost, they're just being done by someone else.
I snickered at the end. Cameron 1.0's Big Tragic Secret was that she married a dying man. Cameron 2.0's Big Tragic Secret was that she could/does have Huntington's. Cameron 3.0's Big Tragic Secret is... divorce.

Divorce isn't always a tragedy--sometimes it's a reason to par-tay! I know mine will be;D

I don't really take House at face value with anything that he says -- he can argue both sides of pretty much any issue -- but he was consistent about taking a macro view to an issue that others are judging from a micro view. Or in other words, "You quit paying attention when it was no longer about you, didn't you?" : )

I liked how they didn't extend and extend and extend and exttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd the time talking about Adams' secret. That was what got boring about Cameron's and Chase's and especially Thirteen's Big Tragic Secrets.

I'd be mildly interested if Adams has a child/children, but I can't see them going down that road. Chase should marry her. She's Cameron with much less baggage.

You're so right about the ortho guy, that would have been a perfect answer. Dumping the can on House's balding head even more. I suspect I need anger management classes, LOL.

I did find the stuff all wrapped up on House's desk cute, though.
