Working on a short fic that I hope to post today. The draft is complete but it needs to be edited. WUT WUT? I don't write fics that way but apparently this time I do. Don't get excited, though, it's not anything special.

During the necessary procrastination activities that occur with every fic-writing session*, I've been checking out House vids. Here are some new-to-me vids I liked (be warned that aspect ratios are not always consistent, though):

And some old favorites:

*Activities required for fic-writing: writing, thinking about writing, research, diversions generated by research, word-mapping, procrastination, emailing, eating, reading other fic, considering giving up, actually giving up, coming back from giving up, scouring my brain for a summary, scouring my brain and the internet for a title, whining, complaining, posting, editing the post to fix HTML.

Having read the fic in question while it was in progress, I can give it a hearty pre-recommendation.

Your writing process list is wonderful.

Well, that is the process I seem to have to follow. :) Thanks for giving the draft a review. It needs more work, and I'm about to go out, so *fingers crossed* it'll get done this evening.

I *love* "Inevitable." [livejournal.com profile] petitecuriosity was really inspired there.

And of course, "Tally Me Banana" is pure crack genius.

With "Inevitable," it's like the song was written specificaly for the Wilson-Sam-House relationship. Awesome.

Love reading your writing process list, and actually found consolation in reading it. Been there, done that, got tangled in the t-shirt.

Looking forward to reading your latest effort.

It'd be a lot quicker if that wasn't the process, wouldn't it? Sigh.

Glad you liked 'em! They're not mine, of course, but I wanted to share in hopes someone would enjoy them.

Tally Me Banana is probably my crackvid favorite. !aybe because I love the song since long before I knew English.
your description of the writing process makes it sound like writing a research article (except for the lack of a blackboard or whiteboard and of frazzled coauthors, to quarrel with in person or more often via skype across timezones).

And of course I'm so looking forward to your fic!

Writing fic is very much like a research article (as I remember it from my policy research days). Fortunately the "publishing process" is much quicker. :)

I too have been trying to write. ha ha hrm. my process is pretty much "write for a little while, then don't for a much longer while." not that i expect you to care. i don't know why i'm typing. sorry
