A semi-serious thought about tonight's episode of House

A stubble-covered rebel-type dude wishes revenge on his hot-in-a-bikini ex-girlfriend, accompanied by a nervous-nellie guy in a sweater vest and boat shoes, who puts aside his reservations (but not his nagging) to aid and abet his friend on a stupid, reckless, and ultimately meaningless gesture.

ANVIL-PARALLEL MUCH, WRITERS?

Sheesh.

Does this mean Wilson's going to help Cuddy cheat on her next boyfriend?

i must've had my anvil-proof hat on, because I missed what was surely supposed to have been an obvious parallel. With the events of the story as it unfolded, I just took it as a red herring in the mystery plot.

I ... don't get why you're asking whether Wilson will help Cuddy cheat, though. Was the nervous guy an accomplice in the patient's cheating?

They said at the end that the POTW was cheating on her boyfriend with Glen -- which was the name of sweater-vest guy from the open (the nervous guy). So, if it was to be a parallel all the way through, would imply Cuddy cheating on her next boyfriend with Wilson.

It didn't help that I was viewing the ep on too small a screen to realise that ex-girlfriend was bomb-lady, and by the time we found it out, via the current boyfriend, I'd forgotten anything other than that the guy was apparently a psycho...
