Happy Mother's Day to the mothers on my f-list! And warm wishes and hugs to those who are, like I am, missing their mothers today.

Also, Happy Remix Reveal Day. The remix of my fic was very sneakily written by [livejournal.com profile] bironic. :D It is House/Wilson/McKay/Sheppard, and awesome, and the summary is "What's the Guinness record for number of vampire-human simultaneous orgasms?" asked Wilson. If that's your kind of thing, you need to read it immediately: Soft Swap (Sink Your Fangs Into It Remix). Wonderful DVD commentary by Bironic is here.

The fic I wrote is This Is an Essay (2542 words, gen, G rating), a remix of the Harry Potter fic "London, Underground" by Hannah. The original fic describes how the wizarding world treats people with autism. Given that it's a world still hung up on whether you're "pureblood" or not, you will not be surprised to hear that exclusion and seclusion are the order of the day.

My fic is about a Hogwarts first-year who is doing the best that she can.

This is my favorite OC that I've ever written. She's not me, but she's of me.

I think I upset the original author by choosing this story to remix, and I'm very sorry for that. I just had to bring Margaret into the world.

One more thing: THANK YOU to [livejournal.com profile] bironic and [livejournal.com profile] daisylily for beta! It was a particular delight to be working with Daisylily again; she had the challenge of taking off her House-American beta hat and putting on a Harry-Potter-Brit-pick one. :D

As I said to you before, it felt really strange to be Brit-picking for you XD

I don't think Hannah was that upset at your choice of fic to remix, from reading her comment.

*hugs*
