Apparently my muse was hanging out at Sabine's, thinking about Rodney McKay. This is the longest fic I've written in almost two years.

I would love, love, love to talk Rodney characterization with you. And also WTF Sheppard was thinking, agreeing to be the slave of a person/vampire he's never met. He had to have been pretty bored with whatever he was doing before this.

Rodney is fascinating, isn't he? It interests me how there are so many different- and not always compatible!- schools of thought in the fandom concerning his characterization.

I never really thought about WTF was up with Sheppard, honestly, cause the original is really an OTT fantasy, making-fun-of-tropes story. In the little that I've written past the original story, he stays with Rodney because he likes the rush, and also because he just hasn't got anywhere else to be (I picture him as post-Air Force, nothing-left-to-live-for Sheppard).
