Do you think the male nurse House spoke to in episode 6-8 (the Thanksgiving ep) was gay? Why or why not?

I know some people on my f-list thought the male nurse House spoke to in episode 6-8 (the Thanksgiving ep) was gay. If you thought this, what specifically made you think it?

(I don't identify as queer, but) I'm sure it's kind of dispiriting to have to listen to a laundry list of stereotypes about queer people, "jokes" or not, you know?

I re-wrote the question to make it clear that I was asking based upon the knowledge that many people on my f-list, queer and straight (and people whose sexual identity I don't know), did see the character as gay. There is the obvious stereotype that because he's a nurse he must be gay, but people who don't believe in that stereotype still thought he was gay. Why? That is what I was asking about.

I know you meant no harm, and I'm sure everyone in here has the best of intentions, and I realize you were only curious about everyone's thoughts. The thing is, intentions aren't always relevant! Ughh, but it's such a delicate conversation, really, and I don't feel equipped to handle it gracefully, which is why I've been saying very little. I'm on input mode.
