deelaundry: man reading in an airport with his face hidden by the book (hard work)

That was a long-ass, boring day. But I'm going home now, and I will have soup and a refreshing adult beverage and approx. 43 minutes of Wilson, so all is GOOD.

HELLO! I realized belatedly that I'm being rather RSL-ish in my grousing about a perfectly good, decently paying job. Sorry.

Whoo!

No adult beverage for me - I've got work for class late into the night - but so much agreement on the goodness that is Wilson.

I know RSL would kill me, but I really would love if every other episode could be about Wilson. "Every other" because House's POV is a very interesting one to be in, given how different it is from most of my beliefs about life.

But anyway, Wilson ♥

Wilson can kill you and you'll thank him for it afterwards. He's that good.

His sitting on the countertop made me all kinds of happy.

So funny that you bring up sitting on the countertop -- I found that very un-Wilson (I expect he thinks putting your butt on a kitchen workstation is highly unsanitary) but then again, Wilson was taking baby steps, so maybe that's a baby step away from fussbudgetiness. Maybe.

I got the message of, "This is my space and I will occupy it as I see fit." Also, it's not really a kitchen workstation yet, not until he starts using it.

Any bets on what the inaugural dish will be?

Hi, Dee! I flew to Big City and back for a two-hour meeting. That was my day. Drive to airport, get on plane, get off plane, take cab to office, two hour meeting, repeat in reverse.

Gosh, Taiga, I definitely think you had the worse day of the two of us. I think I've done the single-day roundtrip by plane a grand total of one time. Not fun.

So I guess you won the fight over who gets the TV!!!
So what kind of refreshing adult beverage are we enjoying? We are having Sweet Tea Vodka and Ice Tea. I know, I'm original!

I started feeling dehydrated, so I skipped the adult beverage. : ( Now I'm off to do dishes, go to bed, get a good night's sleep and be refreshed for an adult beverage tomorrow night!

I find myself somewhat frightened of fandom reaction to "Wilson" I fear that it's been so fandom hyped that it will never live up to certain factions of fandom. I fully expect wailing and rendig of garments if it fails to live up to expectations of OMGSHAW BEST EVERRR!!!!!!

In other news, Josh Malina on Twitter:
At the risk of over-hyping my appearance on HOUSE tonight, please watch me on NBC on August 29th at the 2010 Emmys!

He seems to be a wonderfully snarky actor/tweeter, based on: Did you Hear About the Morgans looks just delightful. Excited to see Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker stretch!

My entire expectation of the episode is "Wilson in every scene." And since RSL has already said that happens (to his bemoanment) I know my expectation will be met!

(It occurs to me that I'm being rather RSL in my bitching above. Apologies.)

True, but you're among the sensible people. It's the 2 percent of fandom that's wanky that makes me weep,

I was today! Status emails on our project, which was supposed to go "live" at a certain time and didn't make that time. Or the next hour. Or the next hour. Or the hour after that. Etc.

It is... loving. You could make an interpretation that it's not gay but instead hetero dude friendship. You could, if you wanted. My husband didn't find it gay, but then again he thinks Wilson is "almost a woman" anyway.

I'm so jealous that you get to see it now (and that you're done work - I'm still sending emails...)! I'm forcing myself to not read episode reactions until after I've seen the show. We'll see how that works out.

Yep, best to stay unspoiled. I was a little bit spoiled and it didn't affect my viewing of the episode, but low/no spoilage is always a good policy.

I wasn't as strong as I wanted to be, but I only scanned a few reactions before closing the browser. Maybe I can be better next time :)

RSL nailed it. I don't know if it was a flashy enough episode to get him a nomination, but it was a damn good episode.

You're right, not flashy enough for Emmy nominators/voters, but oh so AWESOME for a Wilson fan.

I have hopes for next episode on the flashy stuff - you just know he's going to have to have an emotional moment upon leaving Amber's apartment behind. :)

Yeuch, that sounds very horrible indeed.

OTOH, what a hell of an episode - well worth the wait, isn't it?
