deelaundry: man reading in an airport with his face hidden by the book (Kutner)

I am trying not to get too excited, because of that whole chicken-counting aphorism, but... somebody is working on something for me and it might be ready tomorrow!

YAY!!!

PS. It has nothing to do (as far as I know) with Kutner. But he's such a cutie-pants, I wanted him on this post.

PPS. Mare has committed yet more awesome fic: Caught, a remix of [livejournal.com profile] topaz_eyes's "Stealth Karma." Warm and floaty.

Heh. Just when everyone was thinking Nightdog was my only fic-victim.

Thanks so much for the rec (and the last one, for that matter). :-)

Heh, heh, heh! You've jumped into other folks' yards besides Nightdog's, haven't you? Yes, you have, you wrote the alternate ending for "Locked Up and Set Free."

Hm, let me see --

Me -> Zulu, Aris, NDB, Hannah, thedeadparrot, Maineac, you

You, Perspi, NDB, Roga, JDR, HWShipper, Pen, bironic -> Me

And of course, we're all sharecroppers on Mr. Shore's estate.

Yep. I've also written the Hidden Bonus Track for Perspi's No Little Charity; I've fanficced DIYSheep's Dream Jimmy; I've jumped into KidsNurse's It All Comes Down to This and written Turnabout (which in turn inspired Nightdog to create her own delicious cracky meta addition). It's just that those were all some time ago, and I think they've mostly been forgotten. Because generally it's Nightdog whose fences I jump.

Have you ever considered doing Remix/Redux when it comes round next?

One thing I have learned about myself: I don't write to prompts. I want to; I mean to; I'm sure I can -- but I don't. Just dead in the water.

Now you know why I don't do fests. I can't force myself to keep the commitment.

Ah, but Remix isn't about prompts. It's about exactly what you did for my story. The difference is that you are assigned to another writer whose work you might not be familiar with (and you are assigned to another remixer). You still get to choose the story to remix.

The other difference is that there's a deadline. I understand the deadline part. :-)

I keep meaning to set up a House fandom remix challenge, because just about every other major fandom has one, but I never get around to it. Plus, how to schedule it what with all the other fests going. Oh well, 2010 will be here soon.

It's such a happy icon, too - why not use it for gleeful posts?

Eee, I don't know if it will be, but the anticipation is pretty darn fun. :D
