Give me the title of a story I've never written, and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any of: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting room floor but that I wish I'd been able to salvage, or something else that I want readers to know.

You know, when I saw the title of your latest fic -- Two Gin Rickeys and a Blanche DuBois -- I knew it was going to be a great read.

DEE, HOW DO YOU DO IT? The scene in Central Park with the horse, the mistaken identities, House's long-lost sister, Wilson falling in love ... you kept all these balls (no pun intended, despite the NC-17 story rating) in the air so beautifully. I loved it.

Looking back, I'm pretty sure you inspired that title. I mean, I was on the "characters RSL is obviously dying to play if only he didn't look so awkward in a dress" theme, with Roxie's Heart but then your Stella comment pushed me onto the right path.

Dude, you know what one I keep rereading over and over again? "Maximization".

I mean, when Sheppard walks into the bathroom and sees House's cane? Hot damn, man.

You know, that story was originally supposed to be just a McShep where McKay cheats on Sheppard (why are there so few cheating fics in SGA fandom?) but I can't resist the lure of my favorite crossover OT4.

Wow, Dee, your story 'Shadow' was your best yet. It's easy to forget how hard it must be for Wilson to be constantly eclipsed by House, but you captured it so well - and his triumph at the end, and House's support of him, were really moving.

The line about Wilson and his grooming habits ("House can get away with just brushing, but he can't. House can get away with a lot of things that he can't, and that's how the world works.") was stolen from another draft in progress. I also took some of the later dialogue from a story-in-my-head from [livejournal.com profile] aris_writing's Dom/Sub 'verse, where House lets Wilson fight his own battles, but the words of support he provides are exactly the right words at exactly the right time. : )

I was a bit skeptical when I saw your new fic, "Cheaper by the Dozen", but I am so glad I gave it a shot! I was unsure if you could pull off House and Wilson adopting kids from all over the globe but somehow you did it! And how they found time to still get it on like bunnies was quite inspired, especially when things did work out like they planned! I mean it's great that little Antonio didn't have any permanent damage but that sure was a close call while they were otherwise occupied! I can't wait to read more about their growing family!

The Brad & Angelina comparison wasn't too scathing, was it? I wasn't really sure I pulled the satire off. : ( But the sex scenes were extraordinarily fun to write. : )

House thought Wilson picked Rum Tum Tugger because he was such a "ladies' cat" but really Wilson just enjoyed pretending to have a "House" role:

That Rum Tum Tugger is a curious beast
My disobliging ways are a matter of habit
If you offer me fish, then I always want a feast
When there isn't any fish, then I won't eat rabbit
If you offer me cream, then I sniff and sneer
For I only like what I find for myself
So you'll catch me in it right up to my ears
If you put it away on the larder shelf

Dee, I must say --Give Me Clinic Hours or Give Me Death was the most riveting piece of fiction I've ever read. Cuddy's four-hour speech from the hospital roof on the particulars of insurance forms was simply breathtaking. And the way that you got House, Wilson, and the ghost of Kutner together? Ingenious. Bravo, madam!

The Once and Future Bling was the best take on pimp!House I have seen yet. The way you brought Lucas back as his gofer! And Tritter having the tables turned! Not to mention the heart-wrenching but satisfying scene with Wilson, not easy to do in a comedic story.

I still don't get the part about the banana and the donkey, though.

I just knew that House and Wilson could never have a "normal" honeymoon... Not on your watch, anyway! That Time Cameron Got Poison Ivy made me laugh so hard... I can't believe how you can make the characters come alive with only dialogue and 80s song lyrics.

Every time I see an iPhone now I giggle.

P.S. In spite of myself, you make me like Cameron! Who knew she'd be the Worst Patient Ever?

Oh, Dee--I must say I really, truly enjoyed There But For the Grace of A Pilot. The tension you had between John and Ronon was great--I loved how you put us smack into the middle of the action and then dropped hints along the way--and you ratcheted it tighter, and tighter, and BING! It was awesome.

And the sexing at the end! WHOOOOO HOT.

I must...go reread it. Heh.

I absolutely adored your fic, House And Wilson Take a Spa Day!!! It was fabulous! I know when you wrote it you did your research but I cannot believe it is healthy to have anal sex in a mud bath. And then cuddy showing up. I could so see the shocked look on her face when she found them. Your writing is so descriptive. I really thought she was going to drown in that mud bath! Bravo!

I don't care what anyone says, fandom always needs more humor, and Moon in June delivers that in spades. Bonus points for getting Wilson into that blue dress - it's not something I could pull off, but he has the shoulders for it - and Foreman's effortless unflappability, making him the perfect straight man without losing any dignity.

FOR SALE BY OWNER is one of the most brilliant list-of-things type fics I've ever seen. I loved it that it wasn't only a series of ads for things House owned and had to part with, but also included ads he saw for things he'd wanted and couldn't have.

You have a special talent for creating a full picture out of such little fragments, and that last FOR SALE ad made it all worthwhile.

Dee, I'll never forget Diagnose This!. After this you'll definitely have to write more RPS. I particularly loved the part where Hugh and RSL took David Shore hostage while they did that episode live-to-air. Just riveting.

Ah dee, I know these fics can go a bit close to the bone but wow. I didn't know even lil'bastard!Jimmy was capable of the heights - or depths - reached in Lil' Jimmy's Day Off. I couldn't believe what happened to College Girlfriend Emma! And House is so possessive in these fics I was thrilled he brought himself to share, just the once, with that anonymous stranger in that double penetration finale. Would love to know more about that stranger BTW.

"Thanksgiving" was so funny! who knew you'd do a sequel to "Election Day"? and I loved Holly "borrowing" House's boom box and playing the Rob Zombie stuff on it and Cuddy walking in on them!

I've never adored a story as much as the famous "House takes Wilson to Amsterdam". The scene on the boat was just TOO SWEET!!!

You know I always love your stuff, but this is definitely one of my favourites. I can never think of titles, but Fire and Sand is a really good one.

I especially like how you got House out of the room just in time to stop Wilson finding out the secret, but apart from that my favourite bit is the camel.

*mems as usual*

(This is a horrid meme - it's a bit like an exam question, and those always cause my brain to go OMG I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING MY MIND HAS GONE TOTALLY BLANK D: lol)
