1. Got my Remix assignment. I am nervous.

Remix author, my fic list is here. I feel the need to apologize for how extensive it is. I've tried to help everyone get through it, though, by sorting it into sections. If you don't care for slash, House-Wilson friendship and "Other," which includes gen, are down near the bottom. Indvidiual fics that aren't eligible for Remix are labeled. Have fun!

That picture really begs for fic, doesn't it?

And no, I decided against Remix and signed up for McShep Match. (Partly because I've always wanted to do McShep Match, and partly because I wasn't sure about my ability to remix properly. Hm. Maybe next year?)

Anyway--off to paint! :)

I'm so behind in all things SGA. Of course, there's so much to read that I really shouldn't be so greedy about it. lol. What's McShep Match?

[livejournal.com profile] mcshep_match is a fic fest. Writers sign up to join one of two teams, and then the teams "compete" to write the best fics. Winner: Readers!

Oh man, I'd love for Fox to do a cross-over of those two shows (I hope fanfic fills the gap!). Three of the most manipulative characters on TV (Jack, House, Wilson) trying to out-maneuver each other...

I saw the beginning of a House/24 crossover ages ago, but it was abandoned. :-( Which is too bad, because the author was/is an excellent 24 writer.

The joyful thing is that all of Jack's usual methods of persuasion (the Velvety Voice, the appeal to the Greater Common Good, the Nobility of Self-Sacrifice, and Painful Torture) would probably not work on House. It would be wonderful to see :D

Damn it, you got my hopes up with the (almost) story rec!

Jack's techniques would work very well on Wilson. :-D

Isn't it cool? From a movie called Ground Control, about air traffic controllers. Kiefer is the wise old pro called back into action; RSL is the hot-shot, cocky rookie.

HEH.

I'm nervous as well, although I suspect when I find a story I know I can work with, I'll just need a couple of afternoons to finish the project. It's how I did it last time.

Also, I'm still waiting on the Jack Bauer versus Jason Bourne story - I can only imagine the planning and counter-planning and improvisations that could spring up with the two of them going head-to-head.

I wrote mine on my vacation to Florida last year. And hey, I have a vacation to Florida coming up! Maybe that'll be what I do again.
