It's bad enough fanfic so often leaves Foreman out, but this is ridiculous:

"Legacy is transforming the successful medical mystery series House M.D., into a compelling game for both the PC and Nintendo DS™ where players make life and death decisions in the role of their favorite physicians from Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. In the game, players will take turns stepping into the shoes of the skillful staff of the Diagnostic Medicine department which includes Dr. Taub, Dr. Hadley (AKA Thirteen) and, of course, the maverick medical genius himself, Dr. Gregory House. Players are part of the diagnostic team that attempts to diagnose and treat a variety of patients with complex illnesses. The game consists of five unique cases that represent the rare and fascinating types of maladies that viewers have come to expect from the popular medical drama." source

FAIL, Legacy, FAIL

Here is Legacy's website. I emailed to ask where Foreman is (information@legacyinteractive.com); let's see if anyone responds.

It does say 'which includes', so he might be in there, along with Cuddy and Wilson. But yeah, he should be mentioned as part of the main team. He's the longest-standing memeber after all.

On a separate note: YAY House game!

It's just such fail not to mention Foreman as part of the team. They have room in the press release for "(AKA Thirteen)" but not "Dr. Foreman"?

LAME and FAIL and it's hard not to see racism in it.

Weird.

It also seems odd that they don't mention Chase and Cameron. Maybe I just have trouble letting go, but when I think of House's team, I think of them.

They should put Chase and Cameron in the game, but I can see not mentioning them in the press release. They're not officially part of "the skillful staff of the Diagnostic Medicine department."

I keep trying to come up with any reason why they'd use Taub over Foreman. I wonder if Omar Epps has stricter terms about how his image can be used? :\

I can't wait to hear Legacy's response.

Apart from the FAIL of not including Foreman (which strikes me more as crappy programming and desire to minimise the effort thereof) the game sounds suspiciously similar to their (also forthcoming) Murder, She Wrote game, which also consists of five cases. I wonder how similar (and potentially fail-worthy) the two games will be...

Maybe they should do a crossover and save themselves some effort/time/programming:

House, She Wrote

Crime novelist J B Fletcher suffers strange symptoms while doing that course she teaches in New York, and for some unexplained reason is admitted to Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital (rather than e.g. New York Mercy) where she encounters the maverick medical rude asshole genius Dr. Gregory House. Will House and his skillful staff (which, it goes without saying, includes Dr. Eric Foreman. No, it really does go without saying.) manage to diagnose Jessica before her illness causes her to run rampage through the hospital, causing major red herrings? Will Dr. James Wilson, Dr. House's 'friend' (we feel constrained to point out that this is a PG synopsis) manage to stop him from murdering half the hospital staff in a fit of hallucinatory anguish (or drug-fueled insanity, depending on whom you ask)? If he fails, will Jessica be well enough to solve the mystery of who has been killing PPTH staff? Coming soon, from Lunacy software.

If it's a programming convenience to only have three characters, then they should have kept Foreman and left out Taub. Taub doesn't bring any different spark from Foreman, and he's been on the team less time.

Putting that aside, your combined game sounds like much more fun than either of the ones Legacy is planning on. :D

Are you still a member of CLH? They were talking about the game over there; you should make your suggestion. :DDD

I'd be happier with Foreman, Chase and Cameron, gaming-wise (Taub isn't very 'exciting', and Thirteen may be female but that's all she's got going for her, gamewise, IMO).

I actually meant that perhaps they wanted just House and two minions rather then House, his #2, and the minions (although that's another argument for having FCC, I'd say). It may be intended that the player can play as either Taub or Thirteen (YAWN. I'd rather be dead!Kutner XD ).

I may also be being too generous to Legacy and they may just be racist gits :/

I am still in CLH but it isn't really any fun any more. It's not like the good old days of silliness and lunacy, which is a great pity.

Maybe I should pitch my idea to Legacy as much more likely to sell than theirs... XD

It is really hard to see what justification there could be for leaving Foreman out. Daisylily points out that it may be easier to only have three characters; but if that's the case they should have ditched Taub. Foreman's been on the team longer, is a better diagnostician, and butts up against House more.

Emailed you the address of the PR person, too.

Who is Foreman? Do you mean that black guy who's been saying and doing things on the show since episode one? I'm not sure he's appeared enough to be in the video game!

[adfkaljf that's rampant unintentional racism right there. It's neither pretty nor, sadly, surprising.]

This is so blatant and egregious that I'm baffled. Daisylily points out that maybe they only want to program three characters, but if that's the case I can't think of any reason, other than racism, why they didn't ditch Taub and keep Foreman.

I'm hoping I'll get a response with an explanation.

Seriously! He's not my favorite character, but he has at least as much personality as 13 and Taub (I kinda like them) and has been on the team far longer. Plus he likes to contradict House, so that gets conflict going. STUPID not to include him.

That was my question to the PR person! Foreman's been there the longest, he knows the most, he stands up to House... hell, Taub and Thirteen aren't even in the opening credits!

The PR person and the company rep both wrote me back and said it was an oversight -- that Foreman will be in the game. The PR person also mentioned they'll have more communications when they get further along; they damn well better mention Foreman then!
