Congratulations to Gaby on the win! And to RSL on successfully evading yet another opportunity to be photographed.

:-)

You know, I really appreciate the way they both stay out of the news. And I'm sure their daughter, as she grows up, will very much appreciate it too.

Horsies! I'm pleased for RSL that he's been able to stay out of the news... but I wish he'd let us see just one picture of him with Eleanor. Just one! (And one wedding photo.)

LOL on RSL - you think he was there? :) Ah that's cool that they brought her daughter out for the winning photo :)

I hope he was there to cheer on his wife, even though he's slightly allergic to horses (according to one news article a few years ago). But who knows?

I wish the picture was bigger, too! Gaby is such a cheerful woman with a pretty smile, and I would love to get a better look at Eleanor. Oh well -- I'm sure it's much better for her to stay private.

evading yet another opportunity
Because my brain is underslept, I just got the suggestion that he can teleport, which is why he's so rarely photographed unless he has to be for an event or something.

Ooh, I bet he would love to be able to teleport. At one of the events, a reporter caught the cast together backstage, and everybody looked around, saying, "Where's Robert?" :D

My guess is he popped out as soon as he got a little nervous.

Think Hugh Laurie can breathe underwater?

Well, according to some people on my f-list, he walks on water.

Maintaining effective surface tension to allow for that phenomenon can be ascribed to a wide variety of superpowers, from telekinesis to plain old control over water. He has the eyes of a Waterbender from Avatar, to be sure!

Wow, I don't think I could have sat on a horse, let alone jumped with it so soon after giving birth. Ouch.
Nice to know the name was correct, I like it.

I didn't even think of that! OUCH. I don't think you're sitting on the horse when you're jumping (raised off the saddle), but still, a lot of leg strength is required and there's a chance of getting knocked in the nether region.

I like the name as well. Very strong. :D

Hee -- nah, I couldn't really tell. But it does appear as if Baby Ellie has dark hair.

The parents do look really schlumpy! And for some reason, I like that a lot. I'm wondering who the woman is actually holding the baby. A sister? A nanny?

Date: 2009-05-27 05:18 pm (UTC)

I thought the woman holding the baby was Grandma, and the woman on the right was an official from the event. But I could be wrong.

Gaby's sister lives in NYC, but she could've been in LA for the event (or to see her niece!).

The photo's too small. We need bigger pictures!

I Googled the name of the horse last night just to see what it looked like -- there are several action shots out there of Gaby jumping, and good heavens she looks so tiny on this horse!

I love lounging around, and even I would get extremely bored and stressed (plus worrying about the pregnancy). Gaby seems like a more active sort; it must have been terrible for her. The end result, though, I'm sure was well worth it. : )

She's got her daddy's dark hair!

I can't believe that woman is up on a horse so soon after giving birth. I'm in pain just thinking about it.
And they must have a nanny, eh?

I bet they have a nanny, but also before the age of six months or so, babies are pretty portable. Gaby probably takes Eleanor with her to the ranch, and Grandma's likely on hand to help, too. :D

(While RSL is riding the train in NYC, if HHoW posters are to be believed.)

Four months of bed rest may explain why RSL didn't show up for so many things late last year, if he was having to leave her home alone.

That, and the whole "not liking to show up for publicity things" personality he has : )

I am amazed he agreed to go to any of the awards ceremonies/events in January, given Gaby's bed rest and impending due date.

Gosh, actual pictorial confirmation :D

At first I was going "That doesn't look like Gaby" but then I realised that she was sitting on the horse (DUH) and someone else was holding Eleanor...

RSL is probably hiding back in the stable XD

Someone on HHoW said RSL was spotted on the train in NYC on Monday, so he may not have been there at all. Or, as Hannah said above, maybe he can teleport. XD

And I somehow wouldn't be surprised if RSL missed the entire deal. Horses, pah. Now if Mr Ed could recite a few Stoppard plays, maybe.

She must have recovered and got back in competitive shape pretty fast, considering that she was on bed rest for forever.

As for RSL not being there, I'm sure he had places to go and crossword puzzles to solve ;)
