OK, guys, OK. I went to Google Images to look for images for the three people Jane gave me for Marry/Shag/Throw Off a Cliff. And because I am obsessed with RSL and his refusal to admit he has a wife and child, I looked up "Eleanor Blanche" in images.

Out of the first 63 images, SIXTY-TWO of them are of TOMBSTONES.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA What a modern, fresh name RSL has (allegedly) chosen for his daughter.

Whatever, I still like it. :D

6/20/08 - RSL tells "Backstage West" that he's going to get married in August.

He never confirms the marriage after the fact, but he's spotted wearing his wedding ring a few times in fall/winter.

July '08 - A German horse-related magazine says that Gaby is going to be going back to the US soon, because she's in her fourth month of pregnancy.

2/1/09 - A very small blurb in entertainment media says that Gaby is due on Wed 2/4/09 "if she hasn't had the baby already."

Feb. 09 - A friend of mine uncovers a press release dated 1/29/09 from an equestrian company saying that "after the birth of her daughter" Gaby is looking forward to helping young riders learn about international riding.

Last week - A German fan site says RSL's baby, named Eleanor Blanche Leonard, was born 1/15/09.

LOL, thank you for the recap :-) I only saw that last one in Google, and thought I'd been completely behind in fandom news since Jan 15th. Which, okay, I have been, but at least this final reveal has been fairly recent. And I just remembered my parents know Gaby's aunt and uncle. I feel like I should somehow be able to dig up more info! Must learn how to be a better stalker.

Man, the combination of little girls and horses has always freaked me out, ever since Gone With the Wind. *knock on wood*

Oops, the first mention by RSL of a wedding date being set was on 6/1/08, in a Playbill interview.

Your parents know Gaby's aunt and uncle? AWESOME. If there could be a confirmation of the baby's name and date, that would be wonderful. (If you want to indulge me entirely, you could find out if the BabiesRUs.com registry was real. Hee.)

Well, 'know' might have been an exaggeration... :-) They're acquaintances -- I don't remember where from, but they usually meet up accidentally at this jazz festival every summer and hang out. My parents have friends who know them well, but I'd feel weird asking for favors just to confirm gossip which, hey, Hollywood will probably confirm one of these days anyway.

I don't think RSL is ever going to confirm it. One day Eleanor will make her stage debut -- or get her doctorate -- and we'll all say... hey, her dad's name sounds familiar.

:D

Wow, I had no idea - it's sort of refreshing, in a way, to see a celebrity be so guarded about his private life (barring a head injury, of course)

Individually, "Eleanor" and "Blanche" are both quite nice. It's the cumulative effect, I suppose. Although I do like it when people give their children names that will work for them as adults, not just their childhoods.

I like the name. I do! I'm fascinated that Eleanor is almost an anagram for Leonard, and I kind of think that was on purpose. I also suspect Blanche may have come from the character Blanche DuBois, from Streetcar Named Desire.

A brief glance at the Wikipedia entry for "Blanche" shows it's a name that got used with reasonably often by European royalty, and is also the name of an early twentieth century aviatrix. I doubt that's where it's coming from, but it's still nifty to know.

RSL's being cagey! No public announcements at all.

I found a random dude on Twitter, who does not appear to be a House fan, who says on March 1 he helped RSL print out pictures of the baby.

Not knowing how to work the picture printer at the camera store at the mall... yep, that's our RSL!

PS. You just know he's dying to play Blanche. It's a role he would sink his teeth into and never let go.

RSL is being very closed-mouthed about it, the scamp. The German fan site had the time, and the baby's weight, too, so I guess they somehow got hold of a mailed baby announcement.

Or it's a hoax; who knows?

I quite like the name. Ok, it's not very 'modern', but then, every time I hear names that other stars chose for their kids, like "Apple", "Tallulah Belle" or "Fifi Trixibelle", I immediately feel sorry for those kids.
What German fansite did you see the date and weight on? Cause I've seen it on the German House forum, but the author there didn't give it's source (although she has been asked for it), so I'm still doubting that a little...

PS AT THE TOP BECAUSE IT'S SO IMPORTANT: http://www.robert-sean-leonard.com/page8.php

Confirming the marriage and the baby.

This is what I started writing before I got a sudden urge to google:

IDK what the US rules are on censuses, but one way of finding out is to wait until you have access to whenever your next census is (ours should be 2011, and we will be allowed access to it in 2111, so it certainly wouldn't work if RSL and family lived over here XD )

I like that name, anyway - you can shorten Eleanor to Ellie, which is another name I like.

PPS I searched 'normal' Google for 'Eleanor Blanche Leonard' and got the grand total of six results, of which four were for RSL jr and two of which were for an obituary of an 83-year-old with the same name.

Also when I looked at robert-sean-leonard.com in more detail it looks like a very fannish site, so I'm not sure how reliable it is. Boo.

PPPS I looked up who owns www.robert-sean-leonard.com, and it's a German lady, plus the info on the site about Wilson is pretty old and out-of-date, so double boo. I don't think it can be trusted as a reliable source at all.

What else is there to know? Is he secretly a transvestite?
