Oh God, I need a cigarette.

THAT WAS AMAZING.

So well acted, so much House-Wilson goodness, SO MUCH BACKSTORY. With specificity! And dates!

HOUSE LOVES WILSON.

WILSON LOVES HOUSE.

THE END.

(ETA: Deleted my PS because Taiga pointed out I was wrong. Thanks!).

It is AMAZING. You will LOVE it. The ONLY thing that could have made it even the tiniest bit better would've been if they actually kissed.

No, maybe not even that.

Even having seen the four preview clips and been spoiled that the ep involved LLB, I STILL would not have predicted the pure awesome of this ep.

I can't wait for my husband to stop watching frickin' 24 so I can see it again.

OH! OH! AND PHILOSOPHICAL/ETHICAL DEBATING TOO! OH!

And, and, and all those fans who say Wilson's not nice to House? BOOM! There you go! House doesn't WANT Wilson to say nice things to him because it's BORING.

Happy am I. I do hope Wilson talked to his family and let them know and OMG what if we get to see his parents and the other brother. Okay, now I'm just being greedy, but still.

Okay, totally random but college tennis? Seriously? How strange is that?

I loved House the whole ep and it's been a while since I've had that. So much love.

BUT IT IS EPISODES LIKE THIS THAT REMIND ME WHY I LOVE THE SHOW SO MUCH!!!

That was so fucking fantastic. The most solid episode we've seen...well, probably all season. This one and Birthmarks and Emancipation. Total stand-outs for the season. This was especially awesome. Wilson's explanation of their friendship was beautiful, and maybe it's really not as screwed up as he thinks. It really works, and lets both of them be themselves, and means Wilson accepts House (probably now more than ever) for who he is--which is more than other characters can say. That, right there, is why their friendship will outlast probably any other relationship (or attempts at them) they'll have, and, even though I don't 'ship' them, is in so many ways the most important thing in their lives. God. Fucking awesome. Anyone who accepts you for you and really lets you be yourself is...that's amazing.

From: [identity profile] rachelsue88.livejournal.com
I didn't watch spoilers, and I was prepared for a crappy episode, but I was bowled over by this one.
Wow, we got more backstory from St. Doris in 15 minutes than we have in 4 years.
I think Wilson finally understands why he's friends with House. I like that Wilson's reason makes absolute sense to me. A man who spends his entire social life trying to please everyone else needs one friend who welcomes absolute honesty. And House is such a person. He doesn't back away from honesty.
"Collaborative lies..."
I love how Wilson implicitly forgave House for House having to finish the differential and cure the patient; I love how House expressed his love for Wilson by offering support. I love how Wilson's enabling seems organic -- not pathetic. And I can't wait to see what House makes of Wilson's brother.
This episode, Birthmarks, and Emancipation have hit the high points. I'm also secretly delighted that other commentators like Emancipation. It was a quiet episode, and some people on the boards complained that it was "flat," or "stupid," but personally I found Emancipation subtle and touching.

I wasn't a fan of Emancipation on first viewing, but I've really grown to love it. It is very understated and in a season where we're dodging anvils left and right, it was a great one to have. I totally agree that The Social Contract, Birthmarks, and Emancipation have been the highlights of this season.

FANTASTIC!!! Best of the season, by far. I was desperately trying not to get my hopes up at all (because The Softer Side really let me down and I was excited for that one), but this went almost beyond my wildest dreams. I could not believe how great House was and how understanding and accepting Wilson was (after his little cafeteria meltdown, of course.) We got House briefly panicked that Wilson might be sick or suicidal and we got him being very supportive. I was shocked that he asked to go with Wilson. This was a beautiful episode, you could feel the love between them. I haven't felt it that strongly and purely in...ever. Normally, it's just so angsty between them, but here once the truth was out, it was just friendship in its greatest form.

I liked Wilson's abrupt apology to House. "I overreacted." It's that simple, isn't it? And it was refreshing to see House's fear when he thought Wilson was suicidal. It was doubly refreshing to see House try to do something for Wilson by being supportive. Like you said, that was truly beautiful. I like it when House is being gentle, and it's very interesting that the only person with whom he feels he can be human -- and gentle -- is with Wilson. Strange, isn't it, that Cuddy didn't get any of that from him, except indirectly.

SON OF A BITCH. WHY was I out playing trivia when this awesomeness was happening? I can't find it anywhere on the internet, which signifies that the internet has, indeed, jumped the shark or what-the-fuck-ever. I sincerely hope my father DVR-ed it. Or that they re-run it sometime. Does anyone know about re-runs? I heard once that they showed the most recent House on Wednesday on USA, but that could have been a vicious rumor.

Fox TV puts up the episode about 4 or 5 days after it airs. I know, it sucks, but I live in Canada; otherwise I'd totally invite you over my house and you can watch it on my Tivo.
Now, if you're Canadian, Global TV (Ontario) puts up the episode to stream online, about 4 or 5 days later too.
Do not worry. Eat ice-cream, have a big chocolate bar, and when you watch the episode, revel in the goodness that is House-Wilson. I'm almost envious that you get to see this fresh! I wish I could watch all over again and just feel the awesomeness...
