Do you like reading about House? Like House-Wilson friendship? Like House-Cuddy friendship-plus? Don't mind major illnesses and sadness/worry in the story as long as no one gets overwrought about it?

You should be reading [livejournal.com profile] travlncarrie's story Theirs. It's set several years in the future. Cuddy has a realistic daughter named Mia, and House has slowly come to appreciate and enjoy knowing Mia. Wilson has re-married and has an adopted son, but his friendship with House is still a highly important part of his life. It's warm and wonderful without sappiness. Enjoy.

I so second this, and not just because I'm her beta. :) Carrie is such a talented writer, and I must also rec Theirs' prequels Mine (http://travlncarrie.livejournal.com/6589.html#cutid1) and Ours (http://travlncarrie.livejournal.com/18286.html#cutid1). If House's relationship onscreen with Rachel turns out to be anything like his storied relationship with Mia, then we're in for such a good ride.
