Someone cleverer than I noted that in interviews, Hugh Laurie comes across much more as the affable, socially smooth, soothing Wilson-type and RSL comes across much more as the House-type.

Heh. I agree with blackmare_9 below that Robert seems to have less of a social censor than, say, Hugh, and that probably makes him enjoy off-the-cuff speaking less. But he can be a very funny man.

I can imagine Robert being the source of -- and the brunt of -- many, many jokes. Because the poor man cannot seem to stop himself from blurting out whatever occurs to him, and the things that occur to him are often amusing.

Perhaps that tendency is why he avoids the press when he can. *g*

Hee! That is an entirely appropriate icon. LOL Also, I love that he doesn't just make nice with the press and actually goes off somewhere instead. Plus the image of him scampering away somewhere, shouting, "Ha! Okay, you suckers have fun! I'm freeeee!" is too amusing. Maybe it's just me. Teeheheheh.
