I knew there was some off-hand thing I wanted to mention, and [livejournal.com profile] causticchick reminded me.

Wilson has recently priced out fireman strippers

The way he said "yes" totally made the scene. I want just that clip to go up on Youtube. ;D

YES.

AND HOUSE DID THIS BLINK/DOUBLE-TAKE THING.

Oh, that was wonderful.

Hee, it was awesome. Why didn't House and Wilson get a clip together at the end, though? Yes, Foreman and Thirteen are wonderful (really) but even a few seconds of House and Wilson walking through the parking lot together would've been nice. Grrr.

I know. I was half paying attention to Mr. N's brother and half trying to watch a silent-film version of the last few minutes and hoping to see Wilson again. I didn't get that the girl died until I read it on some other episode reviews.

ooh, I so agree with you.
I mean, the kiss was okay, but did we really need 15 seconds of it before fading to black? They could've shown just a few seconds of House and Wilson together.

Fireman, hee!
Also, the tie was clearly a gift for us and I'm so happy. :))

Context, please?

You missed some of the cafeteria time, right? It was in there. House said something along the lines of "Do you know how hard it is to price out fireman strippers this time of year?" and Wilson said with a sad sigh, "Yes."

Mr. L is watching something else right now, but I will transcribe the scene tomorrow if I can. : )

They were talking about ... Christmas celebrations? Parties? Something like that, but I can't remember and my memory is F.S. these days.

Still, how does anything come up in classic H/W conversations? They skip from topic to topic so very fast. *g*

Here is one clip from the cafeteria scene. The sound's a little weird, but the dialogue is true to the scene.

Kindness. Hm. That makes another level of meaning behind what Wilson later tells Cuddy -- that House isn't going to put that girl through painful treatments that won't save her, because he's being kind. And he was.

Ice cream sandwiches. You saw the promo pic, didn't you? I so wanted House and Wilson to rub the ice cream sandwiches all over each other. Yum.

Also is it anything of note that Wilson called House "Greg" on the note? Unless I hallucinated that.

You didn't hallucinate. I have been talking to multiple people on multiple threads about that. So far I've come up with: Last Xmas was right after House had given his blessing for Wilson to date Amber. So maybe Wilson was feeling extra warm... and House took the "Greg" as a fake thing and never opened the present.

OH!!!! OH!!!!!!!!

Or maybe Wilson brought the present, but Amber wrote the note! Explains the "Greg"; explains the girly handwriting! And Wilson said, "I never call him 'Greg'" and Amber said, "Who cares? You bought him an expensive, thoughtful present; he probably won't even bother to read the note."

But House didn't know they were dating at Christmas...I thought? I mean, they WERE and so your second scenario works perfectly fine and actually makes a lot of sense.

DID they ever touch on House wearing Wilson's tie? I mean if it was out of nowhere and no one ever brought it up that's cool in its own way. ..

I had my episodes mixed up; you're right. I thought "Don't Ever Change" was the Xmas, but it was "It's a Wonderful Lie," which was before "frozen."

No one ever mentioned House wearing Wilson's tie. :D A little present for the House/Wilson shippers, I guess, so we can imagine House swiping it from Wilson (or peeling it off him).

butting in again, because, OMG:
they mentioned the girly handwriting twice, which had seemed a bit much to me, especially because they had mentioned before that Wilson's handwriting is appalling.

Of course it was Amber who wrote that - even if House didn't know at the time, who cares? She would've probably liked him to know, so maybe it was a little manipulative.

..and is that a real quote of a Wilson and Amber scene? Continuity, we've found you at last!

part of "I Know This Much Is True" aka the orgy fic has to do with House's attempt to out Wilson as bi. this is made rather clear in the phone conversation House has in the introduction.

I had to pause, and rewind, because everything they said for the next 30 seconds after that was ignored as me and the 4 other people watching it together were too busy being IN SHOCK AND AWE. (Me also in imaginary land running down a list of scenarios...)

This doesn't just demand fanfic, it practically demands its own subcategory.
