Leonard: [groans loudly] Is everyone obsessed with homosexuality?

IF YOU DIDN'T WANT US TO OBSESS, WHY DID YOU ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED WITH THAT SUBSTANCE ON YOUR FACE?

OR, YOU KNOW, MAKE THE ACTING CHOICE TO HAVE WILSON WALK SO CLOSE AS TO BE IN HOUSE'S POCKET FROM THE VERY FIRST SCENE OF THE PILOT?

LOLOL

And c'mon - the scented-candles-and robe-comment?

TV Guide article text (Spoilers for Season Five eps to date AND next week's episode) is within scans here: http://community.livejournal.com/house_wilson/2794992.html?thread=34184688

Hey, Friendshippers! When the topic of homosexuality comes up, Hugh Laurie definitively says, "No, I don't think they [House and Wilson] are..."

Slashers! Hugh Laurie says he doesn't think (opinion) they are (present tense), and then leaves it open exactly what he's referring to.

It's so lovely. RSL's lack of recent pop culture knowledge strikes again! He apparently doesn't know "bromance" implies two straight men.

...

...

Or maybe he does, and he just wanted to bring up the gay! HEE!

I can end the "doesn't think they are..." in so many interesting ways! Wow. Now I'll smile for the rest of the evening.

And I need that TV-guide. Those pictures are adorable.

Real life or the most awesome article in the history of entertainment media?

You've now seen what I pick.

*grins*

And it wouldn't be the same if I couldn't squeal about it with all my friends!

Mare, the article is so wonderful. It's like a perfect storm of awesomeness. Slashers will like it; friendshippers will like it; anybody who likes House and Wilson, or Hugh Laurie, or RSL, will like it. My only complaint is that I want to go on at least twice as long, because I could read the two of them talking all day.

Awwwwww. The first two seasons it was all about Wilson's man crush on House; so good to have the tables turned.

Come to think of it, S3 was Wilson crushing on House too. "Why don't you want to go to the play with me?" ♥

It will always be "No, I don't think House and Wilson are just friends, clearly they're romantic or at the least, have unrequited feelings for each other." to me.

No, RSL, we're just obsessed with House and Wilson *draws hearts around them* And GAH the RPS! They just keep handing it to us on a plate.

I like Robert asking "Why do all your questions sound vaguely dirty?" when the interviewer asks "What exactly is the need that Wilson satisfies in House?"

All the questions sound 'vaguely dirty' because YOU HAVE A DIRTY MIND, MR LEONARD.

AND SO DO WE.

I think what made me laugh the hardest was HL's "I beg your pardon?" That's such an understated, British thing to say in the face of something outrageous. :)

They really are like a comedy team in that interview. And I think I will die of envy that Hugh Laurie just spins out those long, beautifully thought-out and articulate sentences.

I typed up the segment with "I beg your pardon?" somewhere else, from memory, and originally typed, "Who?" The exchange lost almost all its flavor! You are so, so right about that phrasing being wonderful.

I very much admire HL's ability to speak, and love listening to him (reading him). I had to laugh at "Robert exudes an almost invisible aura of wit [etc.]" though, because in one analysis, doesn't "almost invisible" imply you can't see it? Does that sentence mean, "Robert is those things but nobody can tell"? Hee hee hee.

There are two spoilers for the next ep. If you've seen the promo for 5-4, then you know one of them.

The other is not specific. This isn't it, but it's similar to: "We find out what Wilson's first wife was named" without saying what that name is.
