1) The House fanfic contest has lowered their word count requirement to 10,000. Betas still not allowed. More details on wilson_cuddy.

2) I submitted a F!S to amuse Jane but it was deemed "too big." : / I'm too lazy to re-submit it, though.

3) I miss daisylily and hope she's back on LJ soon.

4) RSL was in Thousand Oaks, CA, this past Thursday (8/28) so either he didn't get married on 8/23 or it was a v. short honeymoon.

Oh, RSL, you try to be nice but something happens between your brain and your tongue:

That sounds like him, for sure. Now I love staycations, but he's the only one I can picture wanting one for his honeymoon. Heh.

Have you seen the extras for the S4 DVD yet? He plays up the lazy angle again. Also, he didn't show up in the "My Favorite Ep" feature, and I wonder why.

As for RSL, I can't imagine him having the energy to deal with a honeymoon. A honeymoon would mean leaving the house.

I got a brief update on Daisylily that she's back home again recuperating, so that's good. I just miss her. *pouting*

Maybe RSL and Gaby did as Hithah suggested and had a "stay-cation," staying at home with their dogs and their books and Match Game on the TV.

Who knows, maybe they really lived it up and went wild for a bit, taking a bus up and down the city. But... that would require effort. And "stay-cation" probably would make them happier.

They renamed the "gen" category to be inclusive of all other 'ships. Why they advertised on wilson_cuddy is a mystery for the ages. I only found out about because of the House Newsletter.

They're still requiring all entrants to provide a mailing address, too. *sigh*

I went to house_daily to see what the problem might be. On the profile page of what the community is for, I noticed the first rule is:

1. This is a picture posting community only. No offtopic posts. There are lots of House communities out there, please make sure to utilize the appropriate one.

So, to spread the word about the fanfic contest, it's just a matter of finding the appropriate House community. There are lots! It's best to peruse and participate in the communities to get a sense for what they're all about. Like any forum or message board, LJ communities have policies and their own culture.

I am fanfromfla over on LJ and I belong to a lot of House communities. If you are having a hard time finding House communities, you could use the links on my profile page as a jumping off point.

Sadly, I wanted to go to other sites to promote ships other than Huddy, Ham or O/C to contribute like house/honey, house/wilson, house/stacy...but, I think I've given up on that. If I get them, fine, if not, it's a shame, I would like everyone to have a chance to read them.

Just a guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if she's written House/Honey, hence the interest in having a House/Honey category (much like she has House/OC solely because that's what she "writes").
