Dee's Prognosticating

Going through old stuffs, and found this comment I made on 1/15/08 predicting what would happen with the Wilson/Amber relationship, based on a spoiler photo and Futon Critic ep summary for "Frozen." Some wrong; some right.

First let me say, I think this subplot will probably get 0.03 minutes of screen time. A couple of episodes max, and probably only one scene or less per episode.

My love for this spoiler goes so deep that I can't parse out all the reasons I adore it, but for you, Steph, I'll try. This is a mixture of what could happen in canon, and what could happen in fandom/fanon outside what's on screen.

1) It'll confound House's expectations. Always awesome.
2) She's a different woman than has been shown to be Wilson's type, which is interesting.
3) She already knows House, and she'll have a much different attitude toward House's neediness. Wilson: "House called; I have to go." CTB: "Did he try to almost kill himself again? No? Then what does he need you for?"
4) If we get it, I think CTB's dialogue with House when she's his peer (i.e., dating his friend) could be a lot of fun.
5) I can imagine the sex being completely hot.
6) It gives Wilson something outside of House.
7) I predict it'll end in a glorious trainwreck.

Something to note: Many people say, "She's House in a skirt" and "this'll be good for the HoYay." I don't think either of those at all. I think Wilson will have lots of great sex with her and never once think of House.

Also I still imagine the sex as totally hot, Wilson's inability to figure out what to do with breasts in "Living the Dream" notwithstanding.

Hm... some found that one scene (that got disturbed by matress!bitching) very hot, some people thought it was embarassing. I dunno, I found it more cute than anything else, while their kisses were reluctant and kinda pathetic on Wilson's side.

The fact they made a sex tape - now that *is* hot!

The main thing I thought about the makeout scene in "Living the Dream" was, "Hey, it could've been worse!" I felt there was some passion there (although no tongue in the kisses), until Wilson went to undo her shirt. That took too long, and as a result Wilson didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. LOL

But I'm going with the theory (backed up by the sex tape scene, which was *awesome*) that Amber runs the show, insisting on hot!
