Variety mentioned RSL in an article on Emmy-worthy actors.

Robert Sean Leonard of Fox' hit "House" certainly doesn't dress down when playing Watson to star Hugh Laurie's medical Sherlock Holmes. Both are upscale, lifesaving characters. They're also a symbiotic duo, but as Laurie's flashy star turn has earned Emmy notice, his Tony-winning co-star may have been "overshadowed," Roush says.

Leonard himself thinks "the Emmys consider us a procedural," never a favored drama format. "Maybe they think it's a procedural and a little bit too popular, and not really good in that serious Aaron Sorkin sense."

PS. Buddy TV, in an article on the S4 DVD, described Wilson as "the insufferable ladies man/brilliant oncologist, Dr. James Wilson on House." LOLOL

Brilliant oncologist?! LOL. In what AU? As fascinating as Wilson is, he'd be the last fictional cancer-doc I'd trust...
Or am I only hallucinating the numerous cases of cancer that weren't and of non-cancer that were, which he and his department overlooked/missed on the show?

Unless a sympathetic bedside-manner is the author's one criteria for being a brilliant oncologist? I'd personally would prefer a correct diagnosis though, even if coming from a less sympathy oozing source. But perhaps that's just me ^_^

That made me laugh. Reasonably, realistically, for Wilson to have House's respect and to have been made department head at such a young age, Wilson should be a brilliant doctor. But canon absolutely does not support that. LOLOL

And "insufferable ladies man" made me laugh too. Insufferable, yes. "Ladies man" is up for debate at this point, I think. But in any case, he's not insufferable in his ladies-man-ness.

Heh, heh, heh.

I'd be CONSTANTLY trying to pick House up and Wilson would probably get all pissy and jealous.

Wilson can only be brillant on Wednesdays. We just don't see it. Not unlike the rest of the imaginary oncology department. :) You could call Wilson a ladies man without trying. He's so adorkable that the ladies can't help, but gobble him up.
