I did a full stats review back in July on my fic anniversary, so here I'll just answer some of the questions that are going around.

In 2007, I wrote 66 pieces (11 were chapters in Aftershocks), 2 DVD commentaries, and 3 MSTs. Shortest was a House/Snape drabble at 100 words; longest was Keeper (Agnates in Elysium) at 29,047 words.

My favorite story of 2007 (of my own): So many. Keeper (Agnates in Elysium)
and Around the World and Back Again (Grace Jones’ Polar Opposite Remix) (NC-17), if I have to pick two.

My best story this year: Locked Up and Set Free; Around the World and Back Again (Grace Jones’ Polar Opposite Remix) (NC-17); Function.

Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Function

Most fun story: So many. Parts of Keeper. Crash. The The One Where They're Girls and Cameron Can't Stand It (NC-17). Hi, Anna. Swing for the Fences. Six Burners and Groundless from Aftershocks.

Most sexy story
: Out of the Blue (NC-17). Was meant to be a PWP but Rodney and House wanted to have a gab-fest.

Most unintentionally *telling* story: Which was the one where [livejournal.com profile] purridot concluded I have a girl!wish for Wilson? For intentionally telling except not really, it’s Function.

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: None. The characters, House and Wilson especially, are like prisms in my mind. Turn them different ways and you’ll see different combinations of colors.

Biggest surprise: How hot I found Wilson/Cameron when it was woman!Wilson/man!Cameron.

Biggest disappointment: Not getting to the Ass prequel for [livejournal.com profile] purridot. Sorry!

Worst story: A little “House has an adorable niece” ficlet I didn’t include in my list.

Hardest story to write: Around the World and Back Again (Grace Jones’ Polar Opposite Remix) (NC-17), because my expectations for it were so high. Covenant, for the language and consistency of AU with Pillory. Commitment/Snowglobe, until I realized they were separate stories, not one.

Easiest story to write: Surprisingly, most of the requests from the “Things I’d Never Write” meme. I let myself write fast and simple.

"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: Um, all of them? In 2007, I:
- “broke up” House & Wilson’s friendship
- divorced House & Wilson
- made an unwitting (and unwilling) Chase see Wilson’s post-coital face
- had H & W breaking into their colleagues’ houses for sex
- had H & W having sex on a tradeshow display in the middle of Wilson’s date with someone else
- wrote wingfic
- wrote mpreg
- refused to give a baby a last name
- created an alternate alternate universe in which H/W!spawn can and do meet
- made House a fursuiter (sexual gratification from dressing as a puma)
- turned Wilson’s anger loose and made House love it (and then made Foreman see it)
- made House a figment of Wilson’s imagination
- beat the crap out of Wilson
- turned Wilson into a woman, status-wise
- turned Wilson into a woman physically
- wrote Wilson/Cameron
- wrote serious House/Cameron with a wedding, a baby, and a happy ending
- wrote foursome sex with sex toys (and plotted out more sequels, in which there is more foursome sex)
- implied 13-year-old Wilson gave 13-year-old House head
- made Wilson lose his mind and have the delusion he was hallucinating House
- had Wilson bawl like a baby and then blow his brains out in front of House
- gave Wilson’s long-lost daughter cancer
- after Wilson dies, Cameron takes his place and House doesn’t seem to care
- had House burn a man in cold blood and then mentally torture him for 24 hours
- allowed Wilson’s torturer to return, cliff-hanging the end of the Aftershocks novel

Status of WIPs: Three that are very actively open, and I hope my muse returns to me soon: (1) Five Times James Wilson Was Sick Freshman Year (And a Couple of Times He Wasn’t), (2) Telling (my first non-crossover SGA fic), (3) Out of the Blue sequels.

I felt bad about Function being underappreciated so I read it again. Sorry, I still hate it. It still made me cry nearly through the whole thing and reluctantly love Cameron. I'm glad you wrote it because honestly sometimes I really want to read a fic that doesn't give me what I want, but still seems in character. It forces me to think of the characters in different ways. It's refreshing and wonderful and heartbreaking.

Totally unrelated, I was reading a short story in another fandom and I had to stop because the OMC name was Martin and I could help thinking he would turn evil. :)

You have a wonderful collection of fics. Thank you for writing and for helping me in the past with my writing.

Thanks, JDR, I really appreciate it. I believe Function is the closest I've ever come to capturing House's personality as it is on the show, and I don't know if people didn't care for it, or didn't trust me to write a gen story, or what. But that's probably just selfish of me.

Bloody hell, you were prolific :)

had H & W having sex on a tradeshow display in the middle of Wilson’s date with someone else

Possibly my favourite, together with the Pillory universe in general. Just off the top of my head *g*

The writing memes pushed the count up significantly, but... yeah. One of these days I should probably look into this "off-line life" some people have been talking about.

Heh. Second Petition was so wrong in some ways and so absolutely right in others.

*hugs you*

Happy New Year!

Re: your "wrong even for you list"

man, if I'm ever trying to remember "why is Dee so awesome?" again, I can seriously just come back and look at this list. LOL.

Don't recognize the "refused to give a baby a last name" one though...what was that from again?

"Refused to give a baby a last name" is from Hi, Anna. H & W's kid is just "Anna" -- it causes all kinds of questions and problems when having to deal with bureaucracy. LOL

Happy New Year!

I think I read all of these. Fantastic, as always.

Thank you for writing in this fandom. I wish I could get the show's writing staff to read/listen to you.

They are all so unusual. I wish I could articulate how each one is special and haunting. Your dark!fics were dark in the very best way: beautifully designed tragedies, like little black dresses of angst. But your light!fics are the ones I particularly like to cuddle after a stressful day <3

P.S. I thought man!Cam and woman!Wilson quite hot too, to my very great amusement! (I kinda imagine woman!Wilson looks a bit like Nigella Lawson ;-)

"Little black dresses of angst" - what a great turn of phrase. Thanks!

PS. I'd never seen Nigella Lawson but just looked her up.

Yes! I can definitely see the resemblance ; )

Have several gazillion lollies :D

I love your "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" list - it really cheered me up (still feeling ropey).
