That just made me sad. I've always thought it'd be interesting to see how they cope with the day to day stuff, but it seems to be something rarely handled in fanfic. I think part of it is that Wilson wants his life his way, with all the ironed shirts and decent food and stuff and House just really... doesn't care. I'll just go off and mope now.
