Thanks! "High-maintenance" is a great descriptor for House: very demanding and unmindful of the "small things" in life. Wilson already spends a good amount of time dealing with that; every day, every moment would be overwhelming.
The kids' names are in fact from MSTs; good catch (Ashyln was Cam's sister, I think; Conner and Chloe were from the spawn!fic mercaque just sporked).
