Dear Festividder,
Excited to get a vid from you!
Threesome (1994) [SAFETY] - Eddy POV, please. Alex and Stuart are both great, but Eddy's the one I identify with. I like the physical touching in the movie, and the goofing around. Intercut that with the serious inner turmoil Eddy goes through, and you might just have a winner.
Overboard (1987) [SAFETY] - Does this movie make you squeal with delight? YOU, ME, AND REESE WITHERSPOON! (Did you see her shout-out to the movie at the Oscars? Awesome!) This movie is cute and sweet and funny and adorable! And, it's got major, disturbing consent issues AND it acknowledges that. A straight-up Dean/Annie romance vid would not work for me, nor would an "excusing Dean" vid. But there are still so many possibilities for chosen-family or who-am-I stories to tell.
Ode to Joy (2019) [SAFETY] - Cute romcom! Really open to anything. I'm very curious what happened after the movie ended, so if you want to crossover with other Martin Freeman works (Breeders?) and Morena Baccarin works (Deadpool?) to show that, I would be forever in your debt.
Watson and Holmes (Comics) - In awe of anyone who can vid comics, so your idea will be better than mine!
Quantum Leap - At one point, I had recorded almost all of the episodes on VHS tape, back when you had to do such things manually; that's how much I loved this show. (Until the last episode, of which we will never speak.) It would be great to see a vid focused on Sam's leaps into women and what he learned about gender as a result. Other themes and ideas are great too, although I am definitely less interested in Al and the other staff, and more interested in Sam (during leaps and out of them), or the people whose lives he interacted with during leaps.
Archer (Cartoon) - Wack-a-doodle comedy, in a mind-blowingly coherent way. The characters are ludicrous, but quite competent in what they do, whether that's their actual spy-related job or running a railroad or racing drift cars. Later seasons are AUs of the first seasons - set on mysterious islands or in Hollywood or in space. You could make a fabulous Lord King Bad vid to this source.
You're The Worst (TV) - So many things you could do with this, with Jimmy, Gretchen, Lindsay, and Edgar. I just have a few Do Not Wants: single character vid; focus on the "Jimmy in the trailer park" episode; vid with only people having sex (I mean, that's like half the show so some is fine but not the whole vid). Also, although I love the characters other than the main four, please don't include Paul or Vernon; they're funny and worthy, I just don't like looking at them. :)
Wild Target (2010) [SAFETY] - Found family! <3 <3 <3 Anything on that theme would be amazing. (Normally I'm a Martin Freeman fan but he's very peripheral to the best things about this movie. Also, those teeth, sheesh.)
Music: I personally enjoy geek rock (They Might Be Giants, Dead Milkmen, Weezer, BNL, Devo, Paul and Storm, Jonathan Coulton) but am definitely open to other genres. I like vids that tell a story (or make a point, or tell a joke, or some combination thereof), and songs that tell a story lend themselves pretty well to that.
