I was interrupted in the middle of Chapter 2 this morning and I was so annoyed about it ("but it's such a good story"). I'm actually not supposed to be reading it right now but I sneaked back to finish it *g*
This was such a beautiful fic - I can't believe the sweep it, how you managed to keep the flow over all those years. And it was terribly sad. I really wanted to kick them both, even Wilson, for not trying harder. But it made the time they had together even more precious, and you really captured that. And they were so perfect, so right, and that really showed every time they managed to be together for a while. Jack was a great character in himself - a really solid mix of both of them.
I really loved how they both felt in character to me despite being in a situation that we have never seen and almost certainly never will see on the show.
Anyway, fantastic job. And I have to mention how much I loved it that they still call each other House and Wilson, at least in public.
