My Laptop Died

deelaundryUGH. My awesome little personal laptop has died. Googling uncovered that this error can be fixed by creating a Linux boot CD, booting from there and then totally wiping the hard drive :(
If Mr. L is not interested in doing it for me, I think I'm going to go to Best Buy and have them do it. :(
