OK, it's not a House/SGA crossover but still... Joe Flanigan! On a major network!

Flipping through this week's EW, I ran across the ad for the "family movie" Change of Plans, starring Brooke White, Phylicia Rashad and Joe Flanigan, on Fox January 8.

The plot sounds fairly awful (getting "willed" kids unexpectedly is such a groaner -- which reminds me, I should let you know I've put you - you, there, the one reading this post - down as my kids' guardian if I die, OK? So, you might want to buy plastic plates or something) BUT I will not miss this chance to watch AIRFORCE MAJOR John Joe Jason the pilot (retired) and his awesome hair slink around for an hour or more.

Check out this character synopsis:

"Incredibly smart and an expert in his field, Major Jason Danville has earned a host of professional accomplishments. Now retired from the Air Force, he works as a lead consultant to the military, developing the world's most advanced fighter planes. Yet Jason refuses to take life too seriously and prefers to spend his time planning vacations and collecting electronic toys."

Would be better if it were a lame TV series and not a movie... because you KNOW D.Hew would be pestering and pestering until he made a guest appearance as a cranky, eccentric, genius scientist that works with John Jason and is alternately disturbed and charmed by the kids.

I had no clue who she was but according to the website (www.familymovienight.com) she is the American Idol blond girl from a few season ago. They put it as "she made a charmed run to a Top 5 finish on the hit TV show American Idol. Viewers and judges were captivated both by her airy, pitch-perfect voice and her warm and unvarnished persona. She instantly became a fan favorite."
