So what if you were a casual dresser before? Kiddo, you gotta start somewhere! Take it from someone who knows -- I used to be a very casual dresser (I lived in a city on the West Coast where wearing lipstick was considered overly fancy), but when I moved away, I thought "What the hell!"

I've always wanted to dress with long skirts and high boots. Short women aren't supposed to wear long skirts but who cares? Unfortunately I was born with mildly deformed feet and have trouble finding comfortable footware, and find sexy heels impossible to wear.

This short woman wears long skirts, and by "long" I mean down to the ankle. I can't do that weird in-between thing. It's either got to be at or just above the knee, or full-length. None of that mid-calf foolishness.

Indeed, those are AWESOME! I have long wanted a wonderful pair of tall boots and some knee-length skirts to go with them--the Mr has given me some weird looks for professing such a want, but I really do need to go try on some pairs of tall boots.

I have a wide foot and have enough trouble finding good shoes; can only imagine how much harder it is for you. : (

You should definitely wear long skirts, though, if you want to. They can be quite gorgeous.
