I think RSL would like to be nominated, but has resigned himself to not being nom'ed. When Ausiello told RSL that people on the internet were upset that RSL hadn't been nominated last year, RSL looked really quite touched. He said something along the lines of "that's not the type of role this is meant to be for me, but thank you." I think he has it firmly in his head that he is a support actor on this show, and he's doing his job to support. Plus if he were the star, he'd have to do a lot more press, which he hates. : )
