Alex's categories would be "Something improbable happens, and angst ensues" and "Improbable amounts of kinky sex occur."

Dee's categories would be:

- Suspension of Disbelief: Insane things happen but it kind of seems somewhat reasonable
- Yakkity-Yak: House and Wilson yammer on about something odd (must be dialogue only)
- Home and Hearth: Domestic fics, kid optional. Fics with children with unrealistic, cutesy speech patterns or behavior will be disqualified. (Genuine language delay or disability fine.)
- Hands Off: House-Wilson friendship fics, subtext optional
- What the Hell Is That?: Bizarre weird things not covered in Suspension of Disbelief category
