Ausiello had a very, very vague spoiler -- to the degree of "The script is very good," although that's not what was said -- for an upcoming episode of House, and it got me thinking.

Ausielllo said he heard that RSL "should start writing his Emmy speech now" for a specific future episode. If RSL couldn't even get a nomination for "Wilson's Heart," then what could be so dramatic and intense as to get him noticed by Emmy voters? Hm.

This is pure speculation, but what if, guys, what if they have RSL play Danny Wilson in an episode? O_O So many possibilities.


Please don't mention any other spoilers for episodes after 6-4 (the one from Mon 10/5 in the US) in comments.

Heh, my first thought was that the episode would somehow involve Danny, but yours is a much more original hypothesis. I was wondering if perhaps Wilson would receive a phone call at the beginning of the episode telling him that Danny had died (for whatever reason), and we see Wilson carrying this knowledge with him throughout the rest of the day.

Whatever it is, I'll bet it involves angst and tears.

You and nightdogbarks both have amazing ideas for what it could be. I actually haven't read many spoilers for what's past where we are now in the show so I don't know if I'm way off base but I wonder if it'll be related to a patient. Like what if we watched Wilson go through the course of treatment of one child and the child dies? Like from diagnosis, chemo, death? But that would not be the normal format of the show :/ so I dunno.

I hope it has something to do with Danny! I wish the show would be introspective enough to have it be Wilson comparing/contrasting House and Danny via different scenes and have House meet Danny and also show Wilson dealing with his family who are being un-supportive (speculation no idea how supportive they are).

I think the episode might involve Danny, but I don't think that they'll have RSL play Danny.

It would be really awesome to meet Wilson's bother though, I was so dissapointed with how we didn't get to meet him after The Social Contract and till the end of season 5. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this season x3

I have no idea what could top RSL's performance on Wilson's Heart though, he really should have got at least nominated in the Emmys.
But the fact that Hugh has yet to win a nomination should be clue enough of how screwed up the Emmys are :/

Oh God, I know what you mean about "Wilson's Heart." That was the best episode of House, yet. And I doubt that something could top RSL's amazing performance in that. But if it involves his brother, it might. So far this season has been surprising and pleasing to me, so we'll see.

And on a note about RSL: he'd hate the idea of being nominated; he's said that's not something he wants out of this job. So, those people don't really know much about RSL.

The degree of physical shifting necessary to communicate the two brothers - especially given Danny's years on the street - might do it. Although any more knowledge about Danny would be welcome from me, really.

Oh, that's an awesome idea. I think RSL as Wilson does not get noticed -- he's the solid, generally unflappable sidekick to House's antics -- and playing Danny would be a complete switch.

RSL sniffling and crying is old hat for him. He does that with just about every character he plays- although it took years before it hapened with Wilson. I think the obviousness of it is less admirable emmy-wise than other things.

Angst, on the other hand, more subtle ways of showing pain, carrying pain, all the little details we know he can do but he doesn't GET to do for more than ten seconds an episode. Well, he could kick ass with that if he were given a larger chunk of an episode in which to do it.

Or even a situation riddled with anxiety or worry. He doesnt get to do much of that either. We assume it happens a lot because of House in his life and because of his job, but we rarely see the scenes play out, do we?

Either one would be a delicious welcome for me.

I'm one of the tiny handful of people who didn't think Wilson's Heart was all that (the opening eps of S5, on the other hand, were amazing, but that kind of thing doesn't get respect).

while we're at it, Robbie can play Hot Tempered Abusive Ass quite well too, remember Much Ado About Nothing? I would LOVE to see him double up and play Danny (I wrote a fic about House encountering Danny in the mental hospital and Danny looking just like Wilson--they're not twins but some siblings look enough alike to be twins even when they're not, i.e. the Landers sisters)
then again, Hugh is ALWAYS getting fucked over at the Emmies. :(

Seriously, if he couldn't get an Emmy nomination for Wilson's Heart, then I don't know what the man could do to win their hearts.
But I may have an idea.

Maybe the the writers are going to explore more of Wilson's clinical depression. This is a very serious problem that people have and is not easily fixed. Something to do with anti-depressants, maybe detest for taking them? Wilson could stop taking them suddenly and go through those nasty withdrawal symptoms. It'll be treat for the fans who want sick!Wilson. *looks guilty*

Acknowledging the LLB arc would be nice. I want to know more about Danny. How come Wilson is the one picking up the pieces? I've read a lot of fanfiction about Wilson's parents being nice and pleasant folks, but wouldn't it be a twist if he had a horrible childhood or was mistreated badly as a child? Perhaps neglected because of Danny's needs instead? Or being forced to grow up fast to help take care of Danny?

Also, KJ said (even though I can't believe a damn thing that woman says) that Wilson is going through his own problems because of his dying cancer patients. His messiah complex and desire to be needed could be putting a strain on him, mentally, emotionally and physically.

Buuuuut...ya know. Actors and actresses have won awards for, ya know...playing gay characters. Perhaps our great Hilson moment is arriving at last!

Or maybe I need to get some sleep and quit obsessing. XD
