I was very worried when I realized I wanted to put the full song lyrics in here, because, just like you, I can't really stand songfics. But at least there was a plot-based reason for the lyrics to be sung out loud.

Chase gets spun around in this fic a lot, but he did get it right (initially) that Wilson was singing about him. His delusion was in thinking that it mattered, that Wilson cared about him personally. Poor Chase, but he is a big boy and will re-bound quickly.

House and Wilson deserve each other. In my happy moments, that's positive; in bleaker times, well, you get this fic.
