Finally I have the time to devote to a proper reading of this little gem. The world you've created here is rich and dark--I had a sense of maybe the late 18th or early 19th century. It unfolds brilliantly.

Plus, the POV works. First person is difficult to pull off in fanfic, but here it's believable and strong. I heard James speaking, narrating in my head. His depth of feeling for Greg, conviction that he did the right thing even despite the ridicule--wow.

Will we be seeing more stories set in this universe?
