Just love this story. The world you've created feels so realized and lived-in. Wow. You've taken the unlikely set-up of House having a child and made it completely believable.

I do have to stick up for NJ, though, being a native--I couldn't help thinking, "Gee, why don't they move to a more gay-friendly town; there are plenty of them." But of course, House wouldn't be House if he didn't make things overly complicated.
