I can see why he'd be afraid that his presence will be detrimental to both of them, but again, he isn't the one who beat Wilson up. if anythingm he should be more eager to ship both of his darlings out of the unfriendly area and somewhere where being gay isn't such a crime. He could remove himself from the family, yes, and this would ensure, provided that Wilson locks himself once again into a loveless marriage, that Jack has a "normal" family and Wilson goes unbeaten from that point on. But he could well listen to Wilson and simply move with them elsewhere. That way, not only does Wilson go unbeaten and Jack gets new and tolerant friends (if they're moving to San Fran), but Wilson doesn't have to ruin his own life and the life of some woman (and put another crimp on Jack's) by marrying when he clears has no reason to and no desire to.

Also, I think if I were House, I'd probably want Jack away from those kids. Otherwise, he's only going to grow up into a repressed, unhappy adult, trying to fit into a homophobic clique by lying about everything and faking negative emotions. How can any parent decide that *this* is better than a change of school? I just don't understand. Okay, fine, House was scared, it was a knee-jerk reaction to the birthday party incident. But he's not stupid - he should ralize the error of his ways within a few days of being Wilson-less. (Also, as self-sacrificing as he may have the potential to be, i don't see him throwing away Wilson so lightly. He gets clingy when he's in love - it's hard to imagine he could just go and leave someone he's so madly in love with. And surrender most of his time with Jack along with it. I mean, it's just a lose-lose-lose situation for all three of them. It's difficult to understand why House can't see that.
