And this is what Taub's plot in the S7 finale immediately reminded me of:

Micki + Maude, from 1984, starring Dudley Moore, Amy Irving, and Ann Reinking.

"TV reporter Rob Salinger is married to Micki, but because she's always busy working, they hardly ever spend time together. One night at which he got stood up by Micki again, Rob meets cellist Maude and they soon get romanticly involved. When it turns out Maude is pregnant with his baby, Rob decides to marry Maude. When he's on the verge of telling Micki, she tells him she's pregnant, so he doesn't have the heart to leave her, but he marries Maude anyway. Now married to two pregnant women who don't know about each other, Rob has a busy time taking care of both and keep them from finding out."

The only thing I really remember from the movie is Rob complaining to a friend of his how exhausting it was to keep up with both wives -- but that he didn't need any more sleep, because both wives expected him to be working when he wasn't with them, and then sleeping when he was with them. :D

Anyway...

I'm just waiting for the "didn't you ever watch an After-School Special" joke that will inevitably arise when House learns what has happened.

"how exhausting it was"
I remember when my mother turned 44 (my age now) my father joked that he wanted to get two wives of 22 each instead, and she deadpanned that he would be overwhelmed by their demands. Is this what you meant?

I laughed out loud when Rachel told Taub she was pregnant. How ridiculous.

What I dimly remember was the one funny scene, where Dudley Moore is scrambling from one delivery room to another. (Dear God, I hope they don't resort to that.)

Heh, that's actually not a bad cast for a 1984 movie. If they could've only worked in Liza Minnelli ...

;-)
