What if, what if...

What if House gives a eulogy for his father, but it's really all about Wilson?

About not appreciating someone until you lose them; how frustrated he'd make House when he lectured; how House had been horribly annoyed all the times he tried to teach House a lesson but now in restrospect, some of those lessons might have been worth something; how the man had tried to teach him the value and importance of love and it's only now that House can really understand and finally admit his own love for this frustrating, annoying person.

"We haven't been on the best of terms, and the distance between us has been weighing heavily on my mind. If I could have one wish, it'd be to reconcile with him, for both of us to air our differences and admit our faults, and for me to get the chance to tell him how much I really do respect, admire, and love him."

What if?

Oh, my gosh -- you're putting a new, even more disturbing light on my belief that House's relationship with Wilson is a continuation of the one with John. It's disturbing and sad enough. *shudders*

The worst part is that it makes so much SENSE.

I didn't mean to imply that House felt the same way about Wilson and John. Only that House would use the occasion to talk about Wilson.
