Huge lured me in with cool ukulele music and then slapped a meme on my back. It’s the “Explain your userpics” one – directions at the bottom if anyone wants to play.

I’m changing the order Huge had ‘em in to make the story-telling easier.

2. THE THREE VERSIONS OF THE LESBIAN WIFE ONE.

Djinn [livejournal.com profile] fallen_arazil is one of my f-list friends who is funny, intelligent, and talented. (Three Corners is amazing House/Stacy/Wilson.) She jokingly proposed to me, and I said why not. So we got e-married on 8/20/06. Proposal, ring, and vows are here.

She happens to be a lesbian and I’m not, so I made the first icon to show some pride in her and make people puzzle for a minute. It’s ugly because I have no graphics or artistic skills so Djinn made me the much prettier second one.

Go forward a year, and I exchanged several comments with Petra ([livejournal.com profile] petrichor_fizz), who is also funny, intelligent, and talented. (Cute, too.) Somebody jokingly proposed to somebody (there may have been alcohol in there), and I decided what better anniversary present for Djinn than a second e-wife. Who is also a lesbian.

Hence the third icon. That wedding party was here.

1. THE THREE VERSIONS OF THE PIX OF HUGH W/YR NAME ON IT, NOT MADE BY YOU.

They were made for my by Djinn as a wedding gift. (See above.)

This one I sometimes use along with praise for people, because my friend [livejournal.com profile] daisylily uses another House+lolly icon as a praise icon. The second one I use at random times.

This last one I use as an ILU icon.

3.

I wanted a new icon for a story I was writing of two men who meet for the first time when they’re adults.* Poking around on the intraweb, it was surprisingly difficult to find a picture of two men who didn’t know each other, detailed enough to shrink to icon size and still have the subject be recognizable. I really like their hats and the composition of the picture.

*I swear, this story will be finished one day! Parts Eight & Nine are in Nicky’s hands for review now.

4. (Huge said: LOL IS HE BELCHING? SEXAY)

He’s not belching; he’s sighing heavily. This is from the awkward-awful-hilarious “Do you swing?” scene in Son of a Coma Guy. I use this to acknowledge someone else’s hard work or bitch about my own.

5. (Huge said: I ALWAYS THINK OF k.d. lang WHEN I SEE THIS ONE.)

This is my laughing icon. [livejournal.com profile] bethctg made it. It’s a picture of RSL from a gazillion years ago, when he was thin and beautiful, and it’s always made me think of k.d. lang too.

6.

I wanted a new icon for a story in which someone gets their neck chained to a pillory (yes, typically in a pillory your head goes in the wooden yoke, but in my made-up pillory it was just your wrists in the wood). I found this picture and thought it was very, very pretty. I like the composition, the black-and-white, and how it’s debatable whether it’s a man or woman in the picture. Pretty.

7.

This is Keller and Beecher in the shower in the HBO show Oz. I use it when I want to use a nekkid picture. LOL I just realized that it kind of looks like Keller’s peen is 18 inches long. Keller/Beecher: canon slash OTP. They are what House & Wilson would be in prison, if House was a stone-cold killer.

Meme: Comment on this post. I will choose seven userpics from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are using them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.

Okay, I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but if you look at what Wilson's wearing in the Heavy Sigh icon, it looks like he's wearing Gryffindor colors. A very overgrown Gryffindor kid.

Heh.

Gryffindor. I can see that. I can also see House in Ravenclaw. : ) And Chase in Hufflepuff (but also Ravenclaw).
